What does this mechanic do?
It lets your tank move backward at a low speed, even when your tracks get broken.
You cannot turn or move forward when the emergency track is activated.
When is it useful?
This mechanic is usually not very useful, as you can take multiple repair kits in a battle, and generally tracks can repair themselves quite quickly if you have a skilled crew and the right equipment.
The situation where its useful is if you were already reversing your tank, and the track gets taken off. You don’t lose any momentum or time, and can keep rolling back, though you will gradually slow down to the -4km/h speed cap.
