Specialization II Equipment

These pieces of Equipment improve the tanks mobility in battle.

  1. Improved Control
  2. Engine Accelerator
  3. Best Equipment Choice

Improved Control

What does it do?
+11% to hull traverse speed

Why is this useful?
Having better traverse speed makes your tank turn faster and helps to maintain speed when turning.

What tanks to use Improved Control on?
Tanks with very good acceleration but slow traverse speed; especially on non-turreted TD.

Improved control will give the most benefit to tanks with a low top speed, good acceleration, and poor traverse speed. The low top speed means they won’t benefit from increasing acceleration as much as they would increasing traverse speed. This is even more necessary on non-turreted TDs.

Some examples of these tanks would be the Tortoise, AT-15, Turtle Mk.I, TS-5, M-V-Yoh, AMX CDA 105, and T77.

Engine Accelerator

What does it do?
+4% engine power on LT and MT
+5% engine power on HT and TD

Why is this useful?
Additional engine power will give you both better traverse speed and better acceleration rate.

What tanks to use Engine Accelerator on?
Most tanks. Other than the ones mentioned above (and below), most of the tanks in game should take Engine Accelerator.

This equipment is the best choice for most, as the majority of tanks actually have decent traverse speed but need help accelerating to their top speed.

Best Equipment Choice

Which Equipment piece is the better choice?
You can only take one of these 2 equipment pieces on a tank.

As mentioned above, any non-turreted slow TD with a low top speed should take Improved Control. Also any Heavy Tank with bad traverse speed but decent acceleration (like T77), and tanks with great acceleration but bad traverse speed (like Luchs or AMX CDA 105).

Most LT, MT, TD, and HT that doesn’t struggle with traverse speed should use Engine Accelerator.
