These pieces of Equipment are specifically to give you more use out of the Consumables you take in your tank. Due to their long names they may be abbreviated to CDS and HEC.
Consumable Delivery System
What does it do?
+12% to cooldown speed of Consumables
Why is this useful?
Many consumables have a long cooldown time of 1m 30s (shown as 90s in-game). In a battle, 1m30s can be a long time to have to wait to use your repair kit, speed boost, etc.
Think that some battles only last for 2-3 minutes, you can only get one consumable use in those quick battles.
What tanks to use Consumable Delivery System on?
Tanks that have consumables with long cooldowns.
This will benefit consumables like Tungsten Shells and Improved Engine Power Boost, as these have a long 90s cooldown but can be very helpful in changing a battle situation.
Repair kits also have 90s cooldowns, but they are only used when modules/crew get damaged; and you can reduce how often that happens by using Improved Modules, Defense System, Toolbox, Protective kit, Repairs (crew skill), and Firefighting (crew skill).
High-End Consumables
What does it do?
+33% to Consumable duration
Why is this useful?
Consumables with durations that last for 15s will last 19.95s with this Equipment.
Consumables with durations that last for 20s will last 26.6s with this Equipment.
This is most helpful on tanks that have long reloads, as it will allow them to get more shots in with Adrenaline or Tungsten Shells.
Tanks with Reactive Armour, improved Engine Power Boost, or Reticle Calibration will also be able to use the consumables for longer. This is usually not needed on these particular consumables though.
What tanks to use High-End Consumables on?
Tanks that have consumables where you want them to last longer.
Especially on consumables that are very useful but only have a short duration, like Tungsten Shells, Adrenaline, and Improved Engine Power Boost.
Best Equipment Choice
Which Equipment piece is the better choice?
You can only take one of these 2 equipment pieces on a tank.
Usually Consumable Delivery System is the better Equipment choice, since it affects all consumables and not only ones with duration. Though some tanks (especially ones with long reloads and have access to Tungsten Shells, such as 60TP) will need High-End Consumables in order to get off an extra shot when they use it alongside Adrenaline.
