These pieces of Equipment help your tank repair modules in battle.
Enhanced Tracks

What does it do?
-Allows suspension (tracks & wheels) to take more hits in standard condition
-Tracks that are repaired will repair to standard condition (instead of usual damaged condition)
Why is this useful?
Due to the consumables system of WoT Blitz, and most tanks generally having faster track repair (than WoT PC), this equipment piece isn’t very useful at all.
-It can make your tracks more durable, which means that if usually your tracks get taken off after 1 shot hits the drive wheel, using this equipment means it will take 2 hits to take off your tracks (depending on enemy gun caliber)
-When your track is broken and your crew repairs it, the track will go back to the “standard condition” (which is as though it hasn’t yet taken any hits).Ā
Neither of these mentioned above are beneficial to any tank.
While having tracks that are hard to destroy is nice, most players take 2 repair kits, so it often easy to repair them.
The track going back to the standard condition makes barely any difference. The only difference this makes to a tank not using this equipment is that your tracks will survive 1 extra hit before being broken.
Enhanced Tracks are competing against Toolbox, and in comparison, the Toolbox is a lot more useful in all situations.
What tanks to use Enhanced Tracks on?
None.
4 reasons for this-
1: Players can take 2 repair kits, if a track is taken off, most of the time they have a repair kit for it.
2: Toolbox (the equipment this competes with) literally gives you faster repair speed, and its for all modules, not just tracks.
3: Improved Modules also gives you extra track durability (and is a lot cheaper in credit cost to unlock).
4: Players can improve their track repair speed with the Protective kit provision and Repairs crew skill, so repair time won’t even be long if the tracks do get taken off.Ā
The only time you would take this equipment is if you find that you keep getting tracked by enemies and can’t move. This is the only case where you would use Enhanced Tracks.
Though, if this situation happens to you, consider if you made the right play. Generally the above mentioned situation is easily avoidable, and if it happens its likely because you put your tank in the wrong situation.
Toolbox

What does it do?
+20% to module repair speed
Why is this useful?
This is most useful for when your track gets broken, as it will allow the crew to repair the tracks faster.
Its also useful if the enemy breaks your gun or destroys your engine (and you don’t have a repair kit ready), since when they are destroyed, your gun can’t shoot and your tank can’t move.
Having Toolbox will allow you to use these modules again faster.
What tanks to use Toolbox on?
Every tank. Not because its essential, but because its the better choice out of the two.
This isn’t an essential piece of equipment, but it is very useful to have. If you are just grinding past a tank in the tech tree then it isn’t worth getting, it doesn’t affect tank performance that much and it costs a lot of credits to get to this piece of equipment.
Best Equipment Choice
Which Equipment piece is the better choice?
You can only take 1 of these 2 equipment pieces on a tank.
Toolbox is definitely the better choice, not only because it affects all module, but also because the benefit Enhanced Tracks can be achieved in other ways (as mentioned above).
