Reactive Armour is a Special Consumable. Only a few tanks are able to use it in their loadout.
What does it do?
-20% damage taken from AP, APCR, and HEAT shells
Effect duration:
15s (19.5s with Equipment)
Cooldown time:
1m 15s (1m 05s with Equipment)
When to use the consumable?
-Use this consumable in a situation where you think you will take many hits from the enemies. Such as if you rush an enemy with your team, if you get rushed by enemies, or if you’re in a 1v1.
-The damage reduction this gives can allow you to stay alive in some situations or win an engagement.
Consumable loadout:
The best tanks to use Reactive Armour on are ones that play aggressive, but are not impervious to damage.
Using Reactive Armour on the WZ-113G FT, T110E5, and FV215b work well, as all of these tanks have weakpoints which can be exploited by enemies, and no tank is safe from a rush from the enemy team.
Its pointless using Reactive Armour on a tank like the Obj.268/4, as no regular shell can penetrate its front, and only tanks with over 330mm of premium penetration can go through its cheeks or lower plate.
If your tank has another Special Consumable, whether or not you use Reactive Armour depends on your playstyle.
For example, the support HT role the FV215b plays may benefit more from using Improved Engine Boost, especially if you rarely put your tank in front of your ally HT.
