Armour
(The T95E2 in the images is using Enhanced Armour)

vs 182mm AP on flat ground:
-Upper plate 205mm
-Turret 165-200mm
182mm AP is high pen in tier 7, and slightly below average pen for tier 8 MT and LT

vs 225mm AP on flat ground
-Upper plate 205mm
-Turret 165-200mm
225mm AP is average pen for a tier 8 HT, so heavies will have no problem going through the armour.

vs 182mm AP
Using -9 gun depression
-Upper plate 300mm
-Turret 175-235mm
vs 265mm APCR
Using -9 gun depression
Armour vs tier 7:
-When against tier 7 enemies you can be very confident in the hull armour of the T95E2, most tanks have 150-180mm of pen, so most bounce off the upper plate.
-The turret is still weak on flat ground, but using gun depression it will get much more bounces.
Armour vs tier 8:
When against tier 8 MT and LT, many will still see a red upper plate and somewhat red turret in hulldown. However tanks with over 210mm of pen will penetrate very easily, as shown above.
If you know the penetration of an enemy is quite low, you can be quite confident in your armour, otherwise its best to assume they will be able to penetrate.
Armour vs tier 9:
In tier 9 the tank has no armour at all. Only the mantlet will get bounces, and in hulldown only the upper plate will appear red.
Playing against a T95E2:
-Don’t shoot the hatch. Due to the hatch having visual elements in front of the armour highlight, it always shows up as though your shell can penetrate it.
If you have more than 190mm of penetration, you can confidently shoot the hatch as its only 180mm of armour, if you have less than 190mm, not then your shell is very likely to bounce.
-Even though the tank doesn’t have much armour, don’t auto-aim at it.
The upper plate is well angled, which is why it can still get many bounces when the tank is turned to the side or using gun depression. The mantlet is also 250mm thick, if you don’t bother aiming then your shell may hit the mantlet and do no damage.
Gun
T95E2 has a 90mm gun
-It has a 5.1s reload giving it 2672 DPM, which is very good.
-Penetration on AP is 180mm, HEAT is 268mm, and HE is 45mm.
-Aim time is 3.1s-3.4s
-Dispersion is 0.308/0.277
–Gun handling is 0.12/0.12/0.08 or with Vertical Stabilizer 0.1/0.1/0.07
-Gun depression is -9, combined with a very low profile hull it doesn’t struggle at all on a ridge.
The overall combination of great accuracy, handling, aim time, reload, and DPM make it a very comfortable and good gun. The penetration is great as well, 268mm HEAT as premium is above average for a medium tank.
Mobility
-Top speed is 48km/h, reverse speed is -20km/h
-Acceleration rate is 19.3hp/t on hard terrain and 15.8hp/t on medium, but this is compensated by amazing traverse speeds of 70.7 deg/s traverse speed on hard terrain, and 57.8 deg/s on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are very good with 0.9/1.1/1.4
While it may seem like its not the fastest tank, most of its competitors actually have very similar mobility. The traverse speed saves this tank’s mobility, since it actually makes it quite nimble and responsive, even though its acceleration isn’t the highest.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
T95E2 has no special provisions/consumables.
Any choices and combinations of equipment will work well on the T95E2. Other than the camo net, there isn’t really anything choice of equipment that would put this tank at a disadvantage compared to the alternative choices.
The only equipment piece you definitely won’t need is camo net, so take coated optics instead.
Gameplay advice
In battles against tier 7 tanks, T95E2 can play quite aggressively, it will have strong hull armour, and a good turret in hulldown.
In tier 8-9 battles the tank shouldn’t be played as aggressively since its armour is far less effective, though it can take hits with its high 1450 HP, and it can out-DPM almost all opponents.
Using gun depression on ridglelines should be done in any situation where you can, and always keep the tank moving so its not exposed for long, and so that tanks have a higher chance to hit the gun mantlet or be baited to shoot the hatch.
Overall
Armour – 5/10
Gun – 9/10
Mobility – 6.5/10
Speed – 5/10
T95E2 is overall a decent/good tank.
Armour is good on the upper plate and gun mantlet, but the turret face overall is weak to tier 8-9 enemies. HE protection is good.
Gun has great aim time, accuracy, gun handling, DPM, reload time, gun depression, and premium penetration. Standard penetration is somewhat low, alpha damage isn’t impressive.
Mobility is good, a decent engine and acceleration rate, but with amazing traverse speeds. Reverse speed is average.
Speed is average, 48km/h.
Whether this tank is just “decent” or if its “good/great” will depend on how experienced you are with medium tanks. This tank can really be a very powerful tank when played properly.
Is it worth getting?
If you know how to play mediums well, then you’ll be able to do very well in this tank. Its definitely not a beginner’s medium tank choice, but a seasoned medium tank player will be able to use it well and would enjoy what the tank has to offer.
If you’re an experienced MT player, then its worth considering this tank.
However its not worth it to other players, as there are more user-friendly medium tanks to grind credits with.
T95E2 is worth about 7,000 gold, though you can usually buy it for cheaper in store.
