
What does this mechanic do?
When hitting a target with AP, APCR, or HEAT, that target will remain spotted for x2 longer than usual.
The same will happen with HE, but it has to be a penetration shot, splash damage won’t activate it.
AP, APCR, and HEAT don’t have to penetrate for the mechanic to activate.
Tanks that don’t have this mechanic usually spot enemies for 10s, but this mechanic allows you to spot enemies for 20s.
When is it useful?
This mechanic is useful for shooting at enemies who are out of range if your (and your team’s) spotting distance/view range.
Hitting a target who’s out of spotting distance will allow you and your team to put more its into them before they go unspotted.
Enemies may also come out of cover, thinking that they’ve already gone unspotted, but your mechanic is keeping them spotted, allowing you to put shots into their tank without the enemy expecting it.
