What are Sets? WoT Blitz Reforged

Note that MANY THINGS ARE STILL IN DEVELOPMENT, so you may encounter bugs/mistakes or incorrect things which are still being developed and worked on.

  1. What are the features?
  2. How to unlock a Set?
  3. How to progress and reach higher level?
  4. Premiums & Collectors
  5. Special Tanks:
  6. Set level rewards:

What are the features?

1-You can grind any tank but choose which tank you grind with.
You aren’t forced to play the tank that is directly in front in the “line”, ANY tank that is in the set, can grind the next researchable tank.

For example, if you want the FV215b (183), you can use the GSOR 1008, Challenger, Charioteer, Conway, or FV4005 to gain XP to get to it. You aren’t forced to play a certain tank.

2- Sets allow tanks of similar types to be put together:
Unlike tech trees, they aren’t limited by having to start at a certain tier with another tank leading to them.

3- They make more sense for tank placement:
Odd tanks like the FV215b (183) which previously didnt fit the line now have a place to fit with similar vehicles.

4- Similar gameplay is easy to find:
Sets will let players know which tanks have similar traits or gameplay (generally).
They also show which premium/collectors players might want, based on the Set they are in.

5- No tanks hidden from players:
WG has also stated that they don’t want tanks to be hidden from players, so players can find a tank they are interested in without leaving the game.

How to unlock a Set?

Sets unlock using keys. The cost of keys depends on how many tanks are in that set.

  • Keys can be earned through in-game activities, quests, events, missions, & buying them in store.
  • The main way to get keys is through increasing your player level, each level gives you 5 keys. Player level increases as you increase your level in Sets.
  • When WoT Blitz transfers over to the Reforged version, you’ll be able to buy keys in an event.

When your account transfers over to UE5, you will unlock the set to the highest level that you have a tank at.

-PREMIUM & COLLECTOR TANKS DO NOT UNLOCK SETS.
-THE TANK MUST BE IN YOUR GARAGE AND PURCHASED TO UNLOCK ON A SET.

Examples:
-If you have the FV183, you’ll unlock the Set “Obliterators” and have level 80.
-If you have the FV4005 (but not FV183), you’ll unlock the Set “Obliterators” and have level 60.
-If you have the Conway (but not FV4005 or FV183), you’ll unlock the Set “Obliterators” and have level 40.
-If you have the GSOR 1008, but not the Challenger, Charioteer, Conway, or FV183, you won’t unlock the set (but you can still play the tank).
-If you have the Challenger, you’ll unlock the set but only at level 1, and need to grind XP from there.

How to progress and reach higher level?

-Not all sets cost the same amount of XP to level up!

-Sets cost x2 the cost of current tech trees in game. The reason is that all tanks will earn 20% more XP from battle, on top of this, reaching a higher rank in Ranked battles can give you up to 25% extra XP.
Modules now also are included WITHIN the Set XP cost, and not on tanks themselves.
This is still 145% XP earning compared to 200% XP cost, so the grind is still slowed down compared to previously.

Premiums & Collectors

-Sets also contain premium & collector tanks within their levels. These can be either unlocked on the same level as researchable tanks, or on “5” levels (5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, etc).

-Once you reach the level where there is a premium or collector tank, you gain the option to purchase it for gold.

CURRENTLY ALL GOLD PRICES OF PREMIUMS & COLLECTORS ARE STILL POSSIBLE TO CHANGE.

Its worth noting, the standard price for premium & collector tanks in sets is DOUBLE their current sell price (some exceptions such as T34 1776, Titan Strife, and LKpz 70 (K) have incorrect prices).

Special Tanks:

-These are rare tanks which can’t be purchased through sets, and can only be received in other ways, such as in-game events, through buying them in the store, from crates, etc.

Set level rewards:

Tiers have changed, note the new numbers when checking set rewards.
Tier 7 = current tier X; Tier 1 = current tier IV; etc.

Old tier:I, II, IIIIVVVIVIIVIIIIXX
New tier:Vintage1234557

Set levels for RESEARCHABLE tanks:
Note that the tank tier/level varies across sets, this is just a very general guide.

Level 1 – Lowest tier tank in set. Many sets start at a higher tier than 1, so they’ll cost more keys.

Level 10 – Tier 2 (few sets with tier 3-4).

Level 20 – Tier 3, or 4. (few sets with tier 2).

Level 30 – Tier 4 or 5.

Level 40 – Mostly tier 6, few sets with tier 5.

Level 50 – Tier 6 only.

Level 60 – Tier 7 only.

Level 70 – Obj. 140 only.

Level 80 –  FV215b 183 only.

Level 100 – Set crate, contains resources needed for Set & Commander progression.
