Cromwell Berlin

The Cromwell Berlin is a tier 6 British medium tank, but with light tank mobility. Its one of the best tanks in tier 6 and has a very fun playstyle. It has amazing mobility, gun depression, and DPM, but weak armour.

The Cromwell B has no armour at all, it can’t bounce any AP; though most lower caliber HE rounds won’t be able to penetrate the tank frontally.
Only guns over 130mm have more than 65mm penetration, so its mainly AP ammo you have to worry about, and the occasional KV-2 or Smasher.

Gun

Cromwell Berlin mounts a 75mm gun

-Alpha damage on AP is 160, APCR is 135, and HE is 200
-Reload time is 4.8sgiving it 2000 DPM
-Penetration on AP is 145mm, APCR is 202mm, and HE is 38mm
-Aim time is 3.6s/3.8s
-Dispersion is 0.326/0.293
–Gun handling is 0.15/0.15/0.06, and it can be improved to 0.13/0.13/0.05 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is an amazing -13 degrees around the whole tank.

The gun is all round very good, DPM is high, penetration is high, accuracy is great, and gun depression is the best on any tier 6-10 medium tank. Only the gun handling isn’t amazing, but its not that much worse than average and is definitely compensated by the other great aspects of the gun.

Mobility

-Top speed is 64km/h forwards and 20km/h in reverse
-In-game acceleration rate is shown as
-Actual acceleration is very high, having 29.6hp/t on hard terrain and 26.7hp/t on medium terrain.
-Traverse speed is also good, with 68 deg/s on hard terrain and 62.2 deg/s on medium.
-Ground resistances are a very nice 0.9/1/1.4

The Cromwell B has the best mobility of any tier 6 medium tank and one of the best in the whole game, its speed is very high and it has amazing acceleration and traverse.

Equipment, provisions, & consumables

Cromwell B has no special provisions/consumables.

Improved Modules+:
As the Cromwell B+ is a tier 6 tank, Improved Modules adds the extra benefit of taking away 10% HE damage from guns that are larger than 130mm. Using this equipment will basically guarantee that no SU-152s, KV-2s, or Smashers will be able to one-shot the Cromwell from full HP (Which may happen if they high roll an HE shell)

Improved Assembly:
Due to having no armour at all, improved assembly is a much better choice over enhanced armour; it will increase the Cromwell B’s HP from 960 up to 1018.
The additional HP will help you to survive more shots from enemies, especially tanks with 960 alpha HE

Vertical Stabilizer:
Since the handling of the Cromwell Berlin’s gun handling isn’t the most impressive, use vertical stabilizer to improve it. This will be far more beneficial to the Cromwell, as the tank moves fast and often. It also already has great accuracy, so refined gun would not be as useful on this tank.

Gameplay advice

Cromwell Berlin is an active medium tank. Its always moving around and repositioning to effectively take on enemy tanks.

When playing this tank, you should always utilize its strengths, amazing mobility, amazing gun depression, and a great gun. It doesn’t have any armour, so never sit still in front of enemies. If there are no shots on enemies, don’t sit and wait. Take opportunities to flank enemies, use gun depression on hills, and constantly relocate during the battle. The Cromwell B does not have a passive gameplay style, its a very active tank and should always be on the move, flanking, or isolating enemies.

Overall

Overall the Cromwell Berlin is an amazing tank. Its extremely fast for a medium tank, and its more mobile than even most light tanks in its tier. The gun is very good, with great penetration, accuracy, DPM, and superb gun depression which no other medium can rival. Armour is completely non-existent, but at least it can’t be HE’d on the front by most enemies.

Is it worth getting?

Cromwell Berlin is a tank that is 100% worth having. Its one of the best tanks in tier 6 and its gameplay is very fun and exciting. The tank has great stats and most players will enjoy what the tank offers.

5,000 gold is a good price for this tank, though it can usually be purchased for much cheaper.
