Armour

vs 160mm AP/208mm APCR
-Upper plate 100-145mm
-Turret 200-300mm (weakpoint under gun 100mm)

vs 160mm AP
-Upper plate 130-200mm
-Turret 240-350mm
VS all tier 6-8:Â
Against tanks of all tiers this tank will have about the same armour. The hull is very weak, but the turret is decent due to its angles and can be quite troll.
Tier 8 tanks will be able to penetrate the rear part of the turret cheeks (as shown above against 208mm APCR), but the turret can still be fairly troll due to the large gun mantlet.
Overall the Edelweiss should be treated as though it has no hull armour at all, and a decent (but not invincible) turret.
Gun
The Edelweiss uses a 90mm gun
-Reload time is 5.8s with 225 alpha, giving it 2324 DPM
-Penetration is 150/210/45 on AP, APCR, and HE
-Aim time is 3.2s/3.4s and dispersion is 0.335/0.301 depending on equipment.
–Gun handling is quite average for its alpha, having 0.15/0.15/0.06, using vertical stabilizer can take it down to 0.13/0.13/0.05
-Gun depression is -8, which is a good amount, especially with the low profile of the tank.
For a 225 alpha medium tank, the gun has great DPM, its accuracy and aim time are superb, and its 210 APCR is definitely a nice advantage over other mediums.
Mobility
-Top speed is great with 53km/h, reverse speed is the usual -20km/h
-Acceleration is high at 25.7hp/t on hard terrain and 21.4hp/t on medium terrain.
-Traverse speed also great, at 65.2 deg/s on hard terrain, and 54.4 deg/s on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are decent, with 1.1/1.2/1.6
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
Edelweiss has no special consumables/provisions
Improved Modules:
Edelweiss weighs 38 tons, it accelerates fast, and has a good top speed. It can easily ram any light tank, and most medium tanks, taking this equipment would reduce the damage you take when ramming enemy tanks.
Vertical Stabilizer:
Due to not being a tank that will need to snipe often, and the fact that Edelweiss already has quite an accurate gun for its alpha, vertical stabilizer is a much better choice over refined gun.
Gameplay advice
Edelweiss is a fairly typical medium tank. It could be compared to as a tier 7 AMX 30B or Leopard 1, since it has such good mobility, high DPM, and good turret armour.
Use gun depression whenever possible, as it definitely does help the turret armour of the tank. Other than that, just play it as you would play a regular medium tank.
Overall
Overall the Edelweiss is a great vehicle. Its hull armour is weak but it has a fairly strong turret. The gun is great in every regard, penetration, accuracy, aim time, DPM, and gun depression. The mobility is great with very strong stats all round.

Edelweiss is a fast medium tank. Players who enjoy that type of gameplay will really enjoy the tank and will find it to be worth buying. If you prefer other gameplay types though, you won’t be missing out on too much by not getting this tank.
