leKpz M41 90mm is a tier 8 German light tank. It features great top speed with very good mobility, high DPM with great alpha damage and ammo types, and very weak armour with quite a large size profile thanks to being an M41.

Armour vs all tier 7-9 enemies: 
75mm-100mm guns will find it hard to frontally penetrate the leKpz with HE, as most of them have under 50mm of penetration.
105mm+ guns will be able to penetrate the front fairly easily with HE as most have over 53mm of penetration.

Of course all AP shells will easily cut through the armour as this is a light tank.
The HP of this tank is a decent 1250 (1325 with equipment), and this can be your armour when needed. However that is not a large HP pool and many higher alpha heavy tanks can kill your tank in just 3-4 shots, so you still need to be careful.

Gun

The leKpz mounts a 90mm gun

-Alpha damage is 240 on AP, 200 on HEAT, and 320 on HEP
-It has a 5.6s reload, giving it 2553 DPM
-Penetration on AP is 182mm, HEAT is 250mm, and HEP is 102mm.
–Estimated aim time is 2.9/3.2s
–Base aim time is 1.63s, but it can get down to 1.39s.
-Dispersion is 0.317/0.285
–Gun handling is 0.14/0.14/0.08, or with Vertical Stabilizer its 0.12/0.12/0.07
-Gun depression is -8

The gun is only below average in gun handling, all the other stats very good. It has the best aim time and dispersion among all tier 8 light tanks, combine it with fast reload, good DPM, penetration, and HEP, this the most effective light tank damage dealing gun in its tier.

Mobility

-Top speed is 72km/h, and -24km/h in reverse.
-Traverse speed is 73.4 deg/s on hard terrain, and 62.9 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 24.5 hp/t, it has a strong 575hp engine for its 24 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 40.8 hp/t on hard terrain, and 35 hp/t on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are 0.6/0.7/1.2

The leKpz doesn’t have the highest traverse speed or top speed in tier 8, however it has enough of those 2 factors, and the best acceleration rate in tier 8, to make it the most mobile light tank in the tier.

Equipment, provisions, & consumables

leKpz M41 90mm has no special provisions/consumables.

Calibrated Shells:
leKpz has the perfect gun balance to warrant using calibrated shells. It has already high DPM that can afford to be lowered, above average damage with good reload, and HEAT and HEP to increase the penetration of.

Using calibrated shells lowers the DPM from 2553 to 2374, but it increases AP penetration from 182mm to 191mm, HEAT penetration from 250mm to 275mm, and HEP penetration from 102mm to 112mm.
This allows the tank to be even more shot-effective, and it will be able to penetrate basically all tanks it faces with HEAT, and be able to utilize its high pen HEP round with increased damage.

Improved Optics:
The leKpz has poor camo rating, with a camo net and level 7 concealment crew skill its only 59/54/14%, which is still terrible for a light tank. That’s why its pointless to use camo net, the camo rating will still be poor and you won’t have the view range to spot.

Instead, use improved optics, which give the leKpz 290.4m view range, its not the best, but its definitely still pretty good and you can spot enemies well.

Vertical Stabilizer:
As mentioned, the stabilization of the leKpz is the worst out of all tier 8 light tanks except the T49. As this is a light tank and its constantly moving from positions, it needs to have good stabilization to shoot accurately at enemies, so use the vertical stabilizer over refined gun.

Gameplay advice

The leKpz is quite a unique light tank. Unlike the tier 7 Bulldog, this does not have that super high rate of fire and DPM; but unlike the RU 251, this does not have that low profile sneaky camo rating or high view range.

leKpz needs to be played carefully as its the most easily spotted light tank, and it definitely doesn’t have any armour or even high HP to allow it to take hits.

Play as a supporting light tank:
leKpz will do the best as a support tank that flanks around its enemies to distract them create a crossfire. Shooting enemies from the side or behind especially benefits this tank with its high penetration HEP that does 320 alpha per shot.
Its gun is superb so its gameplay should be based around utilizing the gun and letting it rack up damage. Always be using the mobility of the tank to support allies from different parts of the map. Its an accurate tank, so its still effective from long ranges.

Overall

Players of tier 8 light tanks will probably appreciate the comfortable stats of this tank.
It has comfortable alpha, where each shot is a fairly significant 240 damage, but it also reloads quickly and has good gun depression. Its accuracy and aim time are the best in its tier, along with having the best mobility.
However there are things to dislike, one is certainly the large size, and with it comes poor camo rating. 

Is it worth getting?

This tank is basically an RU 251 remix, and from that point of view, its not worth getting for players who are not light tank lovers.
If you love light tanks though, you should really appreciate what the leKpz offers, it has everything you would want on a light other than size and camo.

leKpz is worth 6,500 gold. To the right players this tank will perform amazingly and is definitely worth that much. For a lot of players, this tank’s skill requirement will be quite high, and to use it to the full potential may be quite a challenge.
