Armour

vs 182mm AP
-Upper plate 175-300mm
-Turret 240-270mm

vs 250mm HEAT
This is not using any gun depression, just hiding the lower part of the upper plate
VS tier 6:
When facing tier 6 tanks, the only frontal weakpoint of the Nameless is the lower plate. Its only 115mm thick so everything can penetrate.
The upper plate will be very strong and nearly every tank will need premium ammo to go through it.
VS tier 7:
-In tier 7 enemies can penetrate the upper hull much easier, especially if they are tanks with high pen such as American or German HT. Other heavy tanks and most mediums will still struggle to go through the upper plate of the Nameless.
VS tier 8:
-In tier 8 the only tanks that will bounce off the Nameless on flat ground are tanks with very low pen (such as T-54 Ltwt), or stock tanks. Angling the tank can produce more bounces, but the hull armour of the Nameless won’t be too reliable against tier 8s.
The turret is very small, and has very good angling. Unless tanks get very lucky and hit the cheeks of the Nameless, the turret is overall very solid. There are 2 weakpoints on top, so don’t sit still otherwise enemies will be able to hit them much more easily.
Gun
The Nameless has a 105mm gun
-Reload time is 8.4s, damage is 310, giving it 2209 DPM
-Penetration is 180/220/60 on AP, APCR, and HE
-Aim time is 3.5s/3.8s and dispersion is 0.389/0.350 depending on equipment. Aim time is decent but dispersion poor.
–Gun handling is not great for a tier 7 with 310 damage, having 0.23/0.23/0.12, with vertical stabilizer it can go down to 0.2/0.2/0.1
-Gun depression is -8.
The DPM of this gun is very impressive, rivalling many tier 8 105mm guns. Accuracy and penetration are just average.
Mobility
-Top speed is an ok 32km/h, reverse speed is -12km/h
-Acceleration is decent but not great, 12.8hp/t on hard terrain and 10hp/t on medium.
-Traverse speed very good, with 40.1 deg/s on hard terrain, and 31.5 deg/s on medium.
–Terrain resistances are decent, with 1.1/1.4/1.8
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
Nameless has no special consumables/provisions
Supercharger:
This equipment won’t be essential to the gameplay of the tank, but its definitely worth considering. The Nameless loses almost 14% penetration at 100m on its AP, and a shocking 51.36% on its APCR.
What this implies is that the penetration of the tank will drastically decrease over distance.
This equipment won’t be needed if the tank is only played at close ranges, so don’t mount it unless you really feel “my tank doesn’t have enough penetration”. For penetration, you could also take Calibrated Shells instead of this.
Vertical Stabilizer:
Since the Nameless doesn’t have great gun handling for its alpha damage, taking Vertical Stabilizer is necessary for the gun to perform well in battle. Since Nameless isn’t a sniper, refined gun would be useless.
Gameplay advice
When in a tier 6-7 battle, you can be very confident in the armour of the Nameless. The tank will also out-DPM and out-trade most enemies you face, so it can be played quite aggressively.
In tier 7-8 matches you have to play more as a support heavy, your hull armour won’t hold up most of the time. Unless you only expose the turret, you’re unlikely to get bounces.
Whenever possible try to hide the lower part of the tank or use gun depression. The upper plate is very large on the Nameless, and it gets stronger higher up on the tank. Hiding the lower areas effectively is removing a weakpoint.
Use the tanks amazing DPM to out-trade enemies. If they put in 1 shot, try put in 2 while they reload. The Nameless has a tier 8 tank’s DPM in tier 7, make sure to take advantage of it.
Overall
Nameless is quite a well-rounded heavy. Its gun has very good DPM, which is the main unique thing about the tank. The armour is decent, speed isn’t the best but its acceleration isn’t bad and it has great traverse.
Is it worth getting?
Nameless is a good tank, however it is just a Tiger II in tier 7. In terms of gameplay, you can get it from a tech tree tank. This is worth buying if you love how it looks or just want to have a Tiger II at tier 7.
The tank is never sold for gold and can only be bought with real currency.
Most recently sold for:
Nameless is usually only sold once a year for £/$11.99-14.99 on its own, or in a bundle with the 4 other Valkyria Chronicles tanks.
