Seasons

Seasons in WoT Blitz run for a 3 month period.

In this time, all events and battlepasses are themed according to the current season, maps are cycled out, and there are special rewards.

What are the features?

Each season has a theme.
Many in-game items and events will be based on the theme during the season period.

Themes items can include:
-Battlepass camos, backgrounds, and tanks
-New legendary or rare camouflages
-In-game events
-In-game cosmetics (garage hangar)

Each season cycles out 5 maps.
5 maps are removed from the map pool, so during these 3 months, these 5 maps cannot be played in battle.
(These maps can still be played in training rooms during this period.)

WG has said that this is meant to create a false sense of “freshness” in the game.

Season rewards

Each season brings 3 new upgradeable collector tanks:

-x1 tier 7 tank
-x1 tier 8 tank
-x1 tier 9 tank

These tanks can be earned with season currency, and their modules (12 upgradeable modules each) are also upgraded by using this season currency.

The season currency changes with each season.

How to earn season currency?
These will be in nearly every in-game activity:
-Clan weekly rewards
-Battlepass rewards
-Orders
-In-game events
-Quick tournaments and season tournaments
-Rating battles

Season currency can also be found in all real-currency bundles.

Can the tanks be earned for free?
The tier 7 tank can be earned for free very easily. It can also be upgraded fully without too much effort, but you still have to make sure you complete enough activities to upgrade it.

The tier 8 tank can be earned for free immediately after fully upgrading the tier 7 tank. Its very difficult to upgrade the tier 8 tank to maximum without spending to buy bundles with season currency.

The tier 9 tank cannot be achieved without spending money. Similarly, having this tank fully upgraded is only possible by spending money on bundles during the season.

What happens when the season ends?
-Season currency will stay on your account, there may be a use for them in the future.
-Season tanks that are in your garage will be upgradeable. Individual offers will appear which allow you to purchase the missing modules.
