Armour

vs 110mm AP (left image)
-Lower plate 108-128mm
-Upper plate 102-108mm
-Turret 125-135mm

vs 110mm AP
-T14 has 53mm of side armour, and its slightly angled. In tier 5 this is quite decent, but due to how wide the T14 is, it can’t sidescrape well.

-Here you can see what happens if the T14 even slightly over-angles.
If the front and sides are not at the absolute perfect angle (top image). then either the front or sides will become very easily penetrated (bottom image).

For this reason the best way to use the T14’s armour, is just to poke the angled front around a corner as bait. Or you can just wiggle and pray the enemies can’t aim well.

vs 110mm AP
Using -10 gun depression:
-When using gun depression the T14’s upper plate becomes an auto-ricochet angle.
-The turret becomes 140-160mm thick, which very good for tier 5.

The base thickness of T14’s upper plate is 51mm, which is quite a big problem. Even though its so well angled, the armour is very thin, meaning that its very hard to get bounces on the tank even if its angling.
Even when angled in the most effective way possible, tanks with 110mm of AP penetration will still easily go through either the front or sides of the T14.

T14’s armour is effective only against tier 4 tanks, or stock tier 5 tanks. Any tank with 100mm of penetration will be able to go through an un-angled T14 easily. If its angled on flat ground then 110mm of penetration will still be enough.

Where this tank’s armour is strong is when its using its full -10 gun depression, as shown above.

Gun

T14 has a 75mm gun.
-Reload time is 5.7s for 160 alpha, giving it 1679 DPM
-Penetration is 106mm on AP, 127mm on APCR, and 38mm on HE
-Aim time is 4.0s/4.4s, its just average for tier 5.
-Dispersion is 0.407/0.366, which is poor, considering its alpha.
Gun handling is 0.22/0.22/0.16, and it can be improved to 0.19/0.19/0.14 with Vertical Stabilizer. Better than average for a tier 5 heavy tank.
-Gun depression is good at -10 degrees

The gun handling of T14 is decent, but dispersion is poor, overall the accuracy and penetration of this tank are not great. The DPM can be seen as a compensating factor, as it does have the tied highest DPM for tier 5 heavies.

Mobility

-Top speed is a decent 35km/h, reverse speed is terrible at -10km/h
-Acceleration is very high, with 16.1hp/t on hard terrain, and 14.6hp/t on medium terrain.
-Traverse speed is very bad, 28.62 deg/s on hard terrain and 25.86 deg/s on medium terrain.
-Ground resistances a good 1/1.1/1.3

While the acceleration of the T14 is amazing, its really held back by its very poor traverse speed and mediocre top speed. Overall the tank has decent mobility for a heavy, but nothing special.

Equipment, provisions, & consumables

T14 has no special provisions/consumables.

Gun Rammer/Calibrated Shells:
Gun rammer emphasizes the DPM strength of this tank, however it means your poor penetration will really hold you back, especially against tier 6 tanks.
Calibrated shells will take away your big DPM advantage, but give you a better 111mm of AP penetration, and 133mm of APCR penetration.

Improved Assembly:
Though the T14 has great armour angling, that armour is very thin, only 51mm thick, so using enhanced armour on it really won’t make it much better. Using improved assembly will increase the tank’s HP from 750 up to 795.

Vertical Stabilizer:
Just as with most heavy tanks, this needs to use vertical stabilizer. Its a tank that will be constantly moving, and close to the frontline, so refined gun won’t help its gun much.

Pros/Cons

Pros-

Earns extra credits:
This tank has a 162% credit coefficient, which is the best among the tier 5 premium heavy tanks.

Cons-
Its worse than both Excelsior and Churchill III:
As a tier 5 premium heavy, this competes against those two tanks when players look to buy a tank. Unfortunately the T14 offers nothing that the Excelsior and Churchill III can’t already do.

It has weaker armour than both, a worse gun than both, less HP than both, and while the mobility is better than the Churchill, its much worse than the Excelsior.

Is it worth getting?

No, the T14 is purely a tank for tank collectors, as it offers nothing unique, and doesn’t have any real strength as a heavy tank.
It lacks frontal armour, which is something you expect on a heavy. Its side armour is decent, but if you wanted strong side armour you would buy the Churchill III.
It lacks both penetration and accuracy, while it has good DPM, both the Excelsior and Churchill III have the same DPM, with much better accuracy/penetration.
While the acceleration rate is very good, its top speed is mediocre, and it has terrible traverse speed.

The tank overall is ok, but there’s no real reason for anyone to buy this tank when the tech tree T1 Heavy and the premium competition are just far better.
