Armour when flat & facing head-on:
Upper plate 315-320mm
Lower plate 190mm

Turret face 238mm
Cupola side 160-360mm
Cupola top 460-900mm+ auto-ricochet

Upper plate 430-460mm

Turret 250mm
Cupola side 165-365mm

Side armour:
The E 75 TS has very strong side armour. The area above the tracks is 120mm, the area behind the tracks is 80mm, and the tracks themselves are 40mm.

A 15mm spaced armour skirt covers the entire hull side, and there’s an extra 10mm spaced plate that goes over the top part of the tracks.
So the E 75 TS’s base side armour (with no angling) ranges anywhere from 120mm to 145mm.

Note that unlike many spaced plates in the game, the sideskirts on the TS are very effective, due to how far away they are from the base hull side armour, and due to being a decent thickness.
Also despite the area behind the tracks being only 80mm thick, they can still bounce shots reliably due to the tracks themselves being very thick.

Armour vs tier 7 tanks:
Many tier 7 enemies will struggle to penetrate the lower plate due to tier 7’s low standard penetration. Most will have to use premium ammo to go through, but a few high penetration heavy tanks can penetrate with AP.

Very few tier 7 tanks have enough penetration to go through the E 75 TS’s turret. The only ones which can are tanks with very high premium penetration (250mm+ on HEAT, or 245mm+ on APCR).

Armour vs tier 8 tanks:
Facing tier 8 tanks, the lower plate is very weak. The only tanks you will bounce there are low penetration medium and light tanks.

The upper plate is extremely strong and nothing can penetrate it due to such high thickness (except a few TDs using premium ammo).

The turret is strong, but turret cheeks are flat and large. No LT, MT, or HT has enough standard penetration to go through the turret face using standard ammo.
However, all heavy tanks can penetrate the turret with premium ammo. The only tier 8 tanks which can’t are lower penetration level mediums (with under 245mm APCR penetration)
Medium tanks will still struggle against the turret as many don’t have enough premium penetration to go through.

Armour vs tier 9 tanks:
The lower plate can be penetrated by every tier 9 tank, and the upper plate is still extremely strong.

The turret is still strong to most mediums and some heavy tanks, but as many tier 9 heavies have over 245mm of standard penetration, the turret can be easily penetrated by many enemy heavy tanks on flat ground, and even when using gun depression.

Gun

The E 75 TS mounts a 10,5cm (105mm) gun

-Alpha damage is 310 on AP, 260 on APCR, and 420 on HE.
-Reload time is 7.8s, giving the tank 2375 DPM.
-Penetration is 215mm on AP, 265mm on APCR, and 60mm on HE.
–Estimated aim time is 3.4/3.7
–Base aim time is 2.3s, but it can get down to 1.87s.
-Dispersion is 0.317/0.285
–Gun Handling is 0.18/0.18/0.12, or 0.15/0.15/0.1 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -10 degrees.

E 75 TS has an overall great gun. It has good aim time, great accuracy, great gun handling, good penetration, good DPM and a fairly quick reload.
Gun depression is amazing, E 75 TS is the only German heavy tank to have -10 gun depression over its front and sides.

This gun is very similar to the Löwe’s gun in terms of how it feels; the only differences being slightly worse dispersion & penetration, but quicker reload & better gun depression.

Mobility

-Top speed is 38km/h, reverse is -12km/h.
-Traverse speed is 29 deg/s on hard terrain, and 25.4 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 10.7 hp/t, it has a fairly weak 913 horsepower engine for its 85 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 10.2 hp/t on hard terrain, and 8.9 hp/t on medium terrain.
Ground resistances are 1.1/1.2/1.8

The E 75 TS is sluggish. While not the slowest (in tier 8) in acceleration and top speed, the overall combination of slow traverse & acceleration make it feel slow, even though its top speed is actually quite good.

Equipment, provisions, & consumables

E 75 TS has no special consumables or provisions.

Gun Rammer:
The E 75 TS doesn’t struggle with penetration, and doesn’t have any special shells to benefit from calibrated shells. One of the defining traits of the E 75 TS is its good DPM, and boosting the penetration would waste the DPM away, so use the gun rammer.

Gun rammer would increase the DPM from 2209 to 2375, and improve reload time from 8.4s to 7.8s.

Enhanced Armour:
With large turret cheeks like an E 100, using enhanced armour is by far a better choice over improved assembly. The E 75 TS already has a very healthy 1850 base HP, so this doesn’t need improving.

Using enhanced armour benefits the tank greatly.
On flat ground, the turret armour would increase from 238mm up to 248mm.
When using gun depression it would go from 250mm to 260mm.
The lower plate also improves from roughly 190mm to 197mm.

Drag slider right -> to view 180mm AP
Drag slider <- left to view 240mm APCR

The above armour comparison shows the difference that enhanced armour makes against a lower penetration level, which is a tier 8 medium.

You can see the turret cheeks getting stronger, and the lower plate when angled is stronger.

A huge difference that enhanced armour makes is when using gun depression, and this helps to bounce some lower penetration heavy tanks (such as Type 57 or T54E2, which have 260mm premium penetration).

Vertical Stabilizer:
The E 75 TS does not need to shoot from a far distance, and since its already got good dispersion, it does not need to use refined gun. Vertical stabilizer would improve its performance in the closer range brawls that the tank will fight in.

Gameplay advice

E 75 TS is just a standard heavy tank, with slower mobility but a better handling gun than most similar tanks.

If you’ve played a Chi-Se or Tiger II before, the E 75 TS should feel immediately familiar with how it needs to be played.

General gameplay:
Use the E 75 TS on the heavy tank flank. Despite its good top speed, its overall mobility profile is slow and sluggish. It can’t easily relocate or get to the MT flank, and even if it does, its traverse is so slow that enemy tanks can easily catch your side armour or circle behind you.

On the heavy flank, prioritise using either flat ground and city areas to sidescrape; or using ridgelines and hills to use the gun depression. The tank performs very well in both these situations, however you have to still try and hide the turret cheeks when possible, since good enemies will know to use premium ammo to penetrate them.

Sidescraping:

Due to strong and flat sides, the E 75 TS is great at sidescraping.

Try to avoid over-angling, since if you turn the hull too far, a good player will know to shoot the front track wheel.

Unfortunately there’s no way to hide or strengthen the turret cheek armour, so if you face a player who knows to use premium ammo against the turret cheeks, its probably best to avoid sidescraping against them and try to take them on a different way.

Angling the turret:
Similarly to an E 100, you can angle the turret of the E 75 TS. This is most effective when hulldown, but it can also work on flat ground (against lower penetration levels, not 265mm APCR).

Due to the turret sides not being fully flat and one same angle, you can’t angle it too far, or a weakpoint will be exposed, shown below.

vs 265mm APCR

Note the small difference in how much the turret is turned, and which plates are weakest at each point.

It is still worth angling the turret, even if not at the “perfect angle”, as long as you don’t angle it to where the side becomes weak, even a small amount of angling can help to bounce more shots.

The E 75 TS plays just like a standard heavy tank with all-round armour and slower mobility. If you just apply “generic heavy tank gameplay” to the E 75 TS, you will do well in it. Put emphasis on using the strong side armour in sidescraping and angling, and using the great gun depression on ridgelines.

Overall

Armour – 7/10
Gun – 8.5/10
Mobility – 3/10
Speed – 6/10

E 75 TS is overall a great tank.

Armour is good, with a strong upper plate, decent lower plate, and decent turret. Turret weakpoints are large and weak to premium ammo. Hull sides are very strong. Armour impenetrable to HE, HESH protection is very high.
Gun is great. Amazing gun handling & -10 gun depression, with good DPM, accuracy, penetration, aim time, reload time, and average alpha damage.
Mobility is fairly poor. A weak engine for a 85 ton tank, outputting a low acceleration rate, with slow traverse speed. Reverse speed mediocre at -12km/h.
Speed is good at 38km/h.

Is it worth getting?

The E 75 TS is worth getting for players who like a solid armour profile with a great gun and gun depression. This tank can do really well just due to a nice combination of great heavy tank stats; good DPM, impressive accuracy & gun consistency, good overall armour, good HP, and -10 gun depression. Its mobility isn’t impressive, but its enough for the role that this tank plays.

Its a good tank with good traits which no other tank fully offers. While the Tiger II has better frontal armour and mobility, its gun is overall worse. While the Chi-Se has better mobility with similar, gun depression, & hull/turret armour, its accuracy is overall worse.

The tank is not worth getting if you can’t stand poor mobility or being penetrated in the turret by players who know to shoot premium ammo.

The E 75 TS is worth 7,500 gold. This is a good tank with good heavy tank traits, some players may hate the mobility, but other players may enjoy the consistent gun and gun depression. Its not the best tier 8 heavy but it offers some enjoyable traits with other tanks don’t have.

This is also very new-player friendly tank, due to its great accuracy, comfortable gun depression, solid armour all-round, and mobility that’s not good enough to get you killed quickly. It also makes great credits due to its shot efficiency and DPM.
