Armour

Drag slider right -> to view 225mm AP
Drag slider <- left to view 61mm HE
When flat and facing head-on:
Upper-upper plate 160-180mm (auto-ricochet for guns up to 123mm in caliber)
Upper plate 90-105mm
Lower plate 65mm
Turret face 52-70mm
Side armour:
The side armour is 32mm thick, but as its almost fully covered by a 5mm spaced armour sideskirt, enemies won’t be able to penetrate it with HE.
Armour vs all tier 7-9 enemies:
Against any tank, the GSOR has terrible armour. Frontally, it can mostly resist HE. Enemies could penetrate the turret, but would have to thread a needle to hit the HE weakpoints. The lower plate will be penetrable to high penetration HE, such as from 150-152mm guns.
Other than the base of the turret and the upper-upper plate, the tank has no red areas, so is completely penetrable to standard ammo from any enemy.
The upper-upper plate is an auto-ricochet to most guns , so there is a small chance to bounce enemies if they aim poorly or have some bad RNG with their shot. guns that are larger than 123mm (so 127, 12,8cm, 130mm, 140mm, etc) will be able to overmatch the upper plate and always penetrate it.

vs 225mm AP (top image), 61mm HE (bottom image)
Using -8.5 gun depression:
Upper-upper plate 335-380mm
Upper plate 125-135mm
Turret face 52-70mm

The GSOR Fearless mounts a 105mm gun.
AP:
-Alpha damage is 330.
-Penetration is 232mm, or 251mm with calibrated shells.
-DPM is 2914, or 2768 with calibrated shells.
-Reload time is 6.8s, or 7.2s with calibrated shells.
–Shell velocity is 650m/s.
HESH:
-Alpha damage is 380.
-Penetration is 170mm, or 184mm with calibrated shells.
-DPM is 3358, or 3189 with calibrated shells.
-Reload time is 6.8s, or 7.2s with calibrated shells.
–Shell velocity is 650m/s.
HE:
-Alpha damage is 420.
-Penetration is 69mm, or 75mm with calibrated shells.
-DPM is 3711, or 3524 with calibrated shells.
-Reload time is 6.8s, or 7.2s with calibrated shells.
–Shell velocity is 650m/s.
Other gun stats:
–Estimated aim time is 4.0/4.1s
–Base aim time is 1.8s, but it can get down to 1.39s.
-Dispersion is 0.272/0.231
–Gun handling is 0.4/0.4/0.16, or 0.35/0.35/0.14 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -8.5 degrees
The stats on this gun are very hit-and-miss. On one hand it has amazing DPM on all shells, great base aim time, the best dispersion in game, and pretty good alpha damage with comfortable gun depression.
On the other hand, it has the worst gun handling of any tank in the entire game, it has the worst shell velocity of any tier 8 tank (except the Caliban), penetration is terrible due to having HESH and low penetration AP, and its estimated aim time is abysmal for its level of alpha damage.
This causes the gun to be just decent. Its amazing in some areas, but equally, its completely terrible in other areas.
(By far the worst stat of this gun is the shell velocity. Note that the GSOR is a paper tank with poor mobility, it needs to generally be at longer range to conserve its HP and deal damage. With such terrible shell velocity, it makes long range gameplay very difficult, and the gun feels like a derp gun due to it.)
Mobility
-Top speed is 44km/h forwards, and -16km/h in reverse.
-Traverse speed is 47.6 deg/s on hard terrain, and 36.6 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 14.5 hp/t, it has a decent 633 horsepower engine for its 44 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 14.5 hp/t on hard terrain, and 11.2 hp/t on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are 1/1.3/1.9
This is terrible mobility. Despite having decent stats on hard terrain, with great traverse speed and decent acceleration; its medium terrain stats are terrible.
Note that medium terrain is the most common terrain type in game, so medium terrain mobility matters the most. On medium terrain, the GSOR has mediocre traverse speed, and terrible acceleration rate. This causes it to feel like a heavy tank with how it moves, and generally on medium terrain you can’t even reach 36km/h.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
The GSOR Fearless has access Improved Engine Power Boost consumable.
Use this consumable in your loadout.
Due to the GSOR’s terrible medium terrain mobility, this consumable is essential to be able to take positions quickly, reposition, or run away from an area quickly. Without this consumable, the GSOR will move like a heavy tank, while having light tank armour and TD hitpoints, which isn’t ideal.
Calibrated Shells:
This equipment piece is mandatory for the GSOR Fearless for a few reasons:
1- It doesn’t have any high-penetration premium ammo, so its important to increase the standard AP penetration as much as possible.
2- It uses HESH as its primary ammo, and HESH is a very low penetration shell. Since this tank uses it so much, its necessary to improve its effectiveness.
3- The DPM of the tank is already extremely high, especially when using HESH, so the tank doesn’t need a faster reload.
Use calibrated shells, it takes advantage of one of the main traits of the gun, which is the HESH ammo, and it will significantly improve your ability to deal with more heavily armoured tanks using AP.
Calibrated shells would improve penetration on AP from 232mm to 251mm, on HESH from 170mm to 184mm, and on HE from 69mm to 75mm.
Improved Assembly:
Due to having no armour and a very low amount of HP, improved assembly is a much better choice than enhanced armour on this tank.
Improved assembly would increase the GSOR Fearless’ HP from 1150 up to 1196.
Three different accuracy builds:
When taking into account equipment, note about the GSOR’s stats that:
-Dispersion (accuracy) is amazing, best in tier 8.
-Gun handling (on move dispersion), is terrible, worst in the entire game.
-Shell velocity (shell speed) is abysmal, the 2nd worst in all of tier 8.
Supercharger + Vertical Stabilizer:
This build is an all-rounder build. Its good for sniping, supporting, and close range.
Supercharger makes the tank usable for sniping and using on the 2nd line. It increases the terrible base velocity of 650m/s (on all shells) to 877.5m/s, which isn’t anything amazing, but its pretty good. This allows you to hit longer range shots MUCH easier, and hit moving targets easier at ANY range.
Vertical stabilizer is needed in this build for the sole reason of letting you aim in. Since you can’t have both supercharger and GLD, the only other option to improve your aim time is to use vertical stabilizer.
This is very necessary, as the GSOR Fearless has the worst gun handling in the game (vertical stabilizer helps to improve that), and it can play quite an active role (so it needs better gun handling as its often moving around).
Refined gun isn’t needed for this all-rounder build, 0.272 dispersion is already the best in tier 8, and its much more important to have vertical stabilizer. Without it, aiming would be VERY slow.
Supercharger + Refined Gun:
This is a long-range sniping build.
As stated above, this build sacrifices all equipment to improve aim time, so it requires you to sit still and aim for a significant amount of time, hence why its a sniping build. You can hit shots after moving and when you don’t have time to aim fully, but you are almost always relying on snap-shotting.
Supercharger increases your shell velocity massively, this lets you hit shots at longer distances much more easily.
Refined gun lets you have better accuracy, making this tank ultra accurate and basically unable to miss (given that you had time to fully aim in).
Gun Laying Drive (GLD) + Refined Gun:
This is a specialized close-range only build.
GLD reduces your aim time massively, it lets you get away with not using vertical stabilizer, despite terrible gun handling. GLD lets you aim in much quicker, hence making it easier to hit your HESH shells on penetrating areas.
Refined gun reduces dispersion from 0.272 to 0.231, this allows you to be ultra accurate and easily snipe weakpoints and snap shots. This also helps to be very consistent with hitting HESH penetrations.
Note that with this set-up, you have terrible shell velocity, 650m/s on all shells. It makes the tank much harder to use in long range/2nd line/support positions, and almost impossible to use in sniping (unless the enemy sits completely still). This is why its most effective as a close-range only build (out of the 3 equipment builds here, this one is the most effective for close-range fights).
Gameplay advice
Depending on equipment set-up, this tank needs to be played differently. The vastly different stats in the accuracy-related stats of this tank cause it to need a different gameplay approach depending on what equipment is used.
General gameplay:
Irrelevant of equipment, the GSOR’s general gameplay requires it to stay hidden from enemy guns. Use the tank’s amazing camo rating as its armour, since its actual armour is completely useless.
Try to avoid being shot by enemies, let your allies push forwards and take the enemies attention. This will allow you to push out and shoot, taking minimal damage in exchange.
Always try to keep close to hard cover and don’t get caught in the open. The poor mobility of the tank makes it very hard to rush into cover when you get spotted, and the low HP means you get killed very quickly.
Gameplay for the all-rounder equipment set-up:
This is for the Supercharger + Vertical stabilizer equipment build, this can work both for sniping situations and for playing a more active role.
Due to not having Gun Laying Drive equipped, your aim time is noticeably slower. This isn’t an issue when sniping at mid or long range, when you’re sitting still and have time to aim; but when playing more actively it is noticeable.
To counter this, you can try moving slowly around corners, or when moving in on a target to shoot them. Slower movement means your reticle won’t bloom out as much, and you can aim in on them quicker when you see their armour.
If moving at higher speeds, or needing to make an urgent shot, you may need to just rely on the good accuracy of the tank and snap-shot (where you shoot without aiming much or at all).
If playing in closer ranges, try to avoid being shot my enemies, use hard cover to block line-of site, and try to let your allies soak damage for you. Use the terrain to hide your tank, and use gun depression to make your size profile smaller.
If playing at mid or long range, use bushes to increase your camo rating. Be more careful with using HESH, as targets at long range are harder to hit, and penetrating HESH often requires shooting a smaller weakpoint (such as a lower plate). Oftn you may need to use AP while playing at long ranges.
Gameplay for the long range sniping equipment set-up:
This is for the Supercharger + Refined gun equipment build, this equipment is for mainly long range gameplay.
Prioritise long range gameplay, be a sniper, use bushes and the tank’s high camo rating, and try to remain unspotted by the enemy scouts. If you see the flank which you are on is being overwhelmed, use the speed boost consumable to quickly leave and find a new sniping position.
Try to avoid moving the tank too much. You have amazing accuracy and good shell velocity, but terrible gun handling and estimated aim time. Moving the tank will result in massive gun bloom, making you less accurate, and giving you a long time to aim back in.
Be more careful with using HESH, since its more unpredictable at long ranges. Its best used against tanks which are almost fully penetrable with HESH (such as a medium or light tank) and not against tanks with armour (for example, a Chimera or a WZ-111).
If you must fight in closer ranges, be aware of your aim time. Since its so slow, especially after moving, often there won’t even be much point to aiming, since snap-shotting and hoping the 0.231 dispersion makes your shot hit is often enough. Its not ideal, and it doesn’t mean your tank won’t miss, but if you don’t have time to aim, snap-shotting is actually fairly effective (but only in closer ranges). Of course, if you can afford the time to aim in, then do it, since its better than missing the shot.
Gameplay for the close range equipment set-up:
This is for the Gun Laying Drive + Refined gun equipment build, this equipment is for close range and support gameplay.
Due to having a complete lack of shell velocity, this setup is just bad for sniping, or taking shots at any sort of decent range. Your shell velocity with this setup is 650m/s, its only better than the Caliban (by 150m/s), and the Rhm by a negligible 5m/s. The elocity of the gun in this build feels like a derp gun, and makes it very challenging to use.
Prioritize support gameplay. Try to stay fairly close to the frontline to mitigate the bad shell velocity. This will let you hit tanks much easier and reduce the chance of missing, which happens a lot if you are too far from where the enemies are. Avoid being shot by enemy tanks, still try to use bushes and camo rating where possible, but mainly use hard cover to block vision but also shots from enemy tanks.
Since you are playing a supporting role, closer to the 2nd line or even frontline, you have to be much more careful with HP, since you are more easily spotted than in a sniping role. Be careful with trading damage with enemies, and try to work with allies to share HP.
Due to having much more reliable aim time and accuracy in exchange for worse velocity, take advantage of that by being more active in closer ranges. You don’t have to move slowly or aim for ages, so use this to put out the tank’s high DPM.
If you must snipe at long range, prioritize stationary targets. If you shoot at moving targets without giving the perfect amount of lead (which is actually hard to do with only 650m/s at long range), you will miss. Its better to shoot enemies that aren’t moving, since it gives time for your shell to fly and actually be able to hit them.
Use all ammo types:
HESH should be the ammo you load first when you get into a battle. This is the lowest penetration shell for the highest damage (compared to AP), as its HESH you can easily penetrate the front’s of most enemies, especially on the lower plate.
Use AP to shoot at tracks, modules, or spaced armour areas, and to shoot stronger armoured tanks which you can’t use HESH against. AP should act as your “premium” round, as its able to penetrate the most armour out of all the shells on this tank.
HE should be used against lightly armoured tanks, since it deals more damage than HESH, but has much lower penetration.
Stay on hard terrain:
Due to the terrible mobility on medium terrain, stay on roads and paved/concrete areas when possible (these are hard terrain). Staying on hard terrain will make the tank much more mobile and agile, which is important for positioning in battle, but also to not get caught out of cover.
If on medium terrain and you need to move quickly, activate the speed boost consumable that this tank has, its most useful for moving on medium terrain due to the tank having such slow acceleration on this terrain type.
Trade in DPM:
The GSOR Fearless has a very good reload for 330 alpha damage (or 380 with HESH), even when using calibrated shells. Its generally able to out-DPM most enemies that it faces, and often will be able to out-reload many tanks with similar or higher alpha damage.
Its important to take advantage of this, especially in close-quarters fights. If an enemy shoots you once, try to shoot them back twice with your fast reload.
Overall the GSOR Fearless is a lightly armoured, supporting/sniping TD which needs to use the terrain and its camo rating to substitute for its lack of armour. It uses HESH and its high DPM to counter the downsides of its gun, which can be effective both in a support role or a sniping role, depending on equipment.
Tank gameplay:
To come soon.
Overall
Armour – 3.5/10
Gun – 5/10
Mobility – 3/10
Speed – 7/10
GSOR Fearless is overall a decent tank.
Armour is weak on all areas, HE protection is decent due to size and spaced armour.
Gun has incredible DPM, good alpha damage, quick reload, and amazing dispersion. Aim time is decent, but gun handling & shell velocity are both abysmal. Penetration is low, gun depression is -8.5 degrees.
Mobility is poor, on hard terrain it has good traverse speed & decent acceleration. On medium terrain it has very poor acceleration and mediocre traverse speeds. Reverse speed is decent, and turret is fully traversable.
Speed is good, at 44km/h.
Is it worth getting?
The GSOR Fearless is not worth getting. This tank is worse than the regular GSOR 1008 in many regards, and its worse at its role (which is a lightly armoured, sniper/support TD).
Due to bad armour and low HP, GSOR needs to stay away from the frontlines, however due to terrible shell velocity, the GSOR cannot snipe, and needs to get close to the frontlines. If you take equipment to change this, then now it has bad aim time, making it easy to miss.
Other than the above factors, the regular GSOR is already a challenging tank to play, due to its poor mobility, weak armour, low HP, and use of HESH shells. This just causes the GSOR Fearless to be a tank with a very high skill requirement to be able to play well and use effectively.
This tank is worth it in some regards. It is unique, the other turreted HESH tank destroyers in tier 8 don’t have nearly as amazing DPM or reload time as this tank and their accuracy isn’t as good. Its drawbacks make it a challenge to play, which causes it to stand out form the other similar tanks.
If that’s what interests you thin this tank could be worth it.
The GSOR Fearless is worth 7,000 gold. Its not a bad tank and it can be very strong in some situations. Due to its stats its a very high skill tank, and less experienced players will struggle to use the tank to its full potential.
