This penetration represents a lower penetration medium in tier 8.
Armour on flat ground, facing head-on:
Upper plate 185-195mm
Angled triangular plates under turret 235-240mm (auto-ricochet to guns smaller than 121mm)
Lower plate 90mm
Lower-lower plate 125mm (auto-ricochet to guns smaller than 112mm)
Turret face 115-180mm
Turret cheek edges 200mm+ (auto-ricochet to any gun caliber)
Side armour:
The LT-432 has 35mm base side armour. The track covers are 12mm spaced armour.
The easiest way to HE the LT-432 is by shooting the hull between the tracks and the wheels.

vs 225mm AP (from 122mm gun)
Note the overmatch weaknesses to higher gun calibers.
Lower-lower plate overmatched by guns larger than 111mm.
Angled area above upper plate overmatched by guns larger than 120mm.
Armour vs tier 7 enemies:
In tier 7 the LT-432 has some armour.
Facing medium & light tanks, the lower penetration levels (145-150mm) will struggle to penetrate the upper plate, even when you aren’t angling.
The higher penetration mediums (155-160mm) will be able to penetrate, but angling the hull makes the upper plate red.
Facing heavy tank & tank destroyer standard ammo, or any tier 7 premium ammo, the upper plate will be penetrable. Angling does help to bounce a lot, but enemies can still penetrate the side armour.
Treat the armour as troll, don’t expect to bounce shots when you need them to, but don’t be surprised if enemies do occasionally bounce off.
Armour vs tier 8 & 9 enemies:
Against tier 8 and 9 tanks, you will bounce far less, as these tanks have much higher penetration.
The only shots you will bounce are off the auto-ricochet angles:
-If the hull is turned to the side, the upper and lower plate become auto-ricochet angles.
-If using at least -4 degrees of gun depression, the upper plate becomes an auto-ricochet.
-The “shoulders” above the upper plate are auto-ricochets to all 120mm and smaller guns.
-The lower-lower plate is an auto-ricochet to all guns that are 111mm in caliber or smaller.
Other than this, the LT-432 is easily penetrated by standard ammo, it is a light tank after all.
Against HE:
It is not advisable to shoot HE at an LT-432, its armour is too good for that to work well against it. Its hull sides are 35mm, but have 12mm spaced armour protecting them from HE, also the tracks have the same effect.
The turret side ranges from 51mm-140mm, and its a very small and hard target to hit, especially when the tank is moving and turning.
The best place to shoot HE is just the hull rear, which is a flat 35mm of armour. Alternatively you can thread the needle between the tracks and wheels on the hull side.
Gun
LT-432 mounts a 100mm gun.
-Alpha damage is 280 on APCR, 240 on premium AP, and 350 on HE.
-It has a 7.9s reload giving it 2123 DPM.
-Penetration on APCR is 175mm, premium AP is 235mm, and HE is 50mm.
–Estimated aim time is 3.5s/3.3s.
–Base aim time is 2.2s, but it can get down to 1.69s.
-Dispersion is 0.344/0.292
–Gun handling is 0.1/0.1/0.1, or 0.09/0.09/0.09 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -5 degrees.
-The APCR shell has an amazing 1,150m/s shell velocity, even the premium AP shell has a very good 1,012m/s.
Overall, this gun is pretty good. It has decent aim time, decent dispersion, decent penetration, fairly high alpha damage, and great gun handling. Its DPM is quite low though, and -5 gun depression is poor.
The gun depression is made bearable by the very low profile of the tank, so its definitely not unusable.
Mobility
-Top speed is 70km/h forwards, and -30km/h in reverse
-Traverse speed is 70.06 deg/s on hard terrain, and 63 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 28.4 hp/t, it has a strong 763hp engine for its 27 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 31.7 hp/t on hard terrain, and 28.5 hp/t on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are 0.9/1/1.6
The LT-432 is a very quick tank. Its ground resistances aren’t great for a light tank, however due to a good raw acceleration rate, its still able to get up to 60km fairly reliably, even along uneven terrain.
The traverse speed is very impressive, even for a light tank, and the LT-432 has one of the highest top forward speeds in the tier.
A very important factor on the LT-432 is its great -30km/h reverse speed. It makes a huge difference compared to other light tanks, and it can allow this tank to escape from slower enemies without even needing to turn around.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
The LT-432 has no special consumables or provisions.
Engine power boost consumable:
Though the LT-432 isn’t slow, sometimes you will need this consumable just to rush to positions faster, or to get out of an undesirable situation. Its generally an important consumable for light tanks to carry, especially this one which accelerates slower than its light tank competition in tier 8.
Gun Rammer:
The LT-432 has a fairly long reload, and the lowest DPM of all the tier 8 non-autoloading light tanks. As it has good premium AP rounds with 235mm penetration, its perfectly adequate for dealing with most enemies. Light tanks also aren’t meant to have good penetration due to their great mobility and ability to easily get to the sides of enemy tanks.
Use a gun rammer, it will improve the DPM of the LT-432 to 2123, and give it a 7.9s reload with 280 alpha.
Calibrated shells can also work on this tank, especially due to it adding a lot of penetration to premium AP, however due to the light tank playstyle, in post cases its just not needed.
Improved Optics:
Due to having the highest base camo rating on move of any tier 8 tank, and the 2nd highest stationary camo of any non-TD tank, you don’t really need a camo net. Just using a bush will make the tank almost invisible, and good view range from using improved optics is the perfect combination. As this is a light tank, it should be scouting the enemies. With improved optics equipped, the tank has 293m view range.
Camo net does work well if you just want to min-max on the very high camo rating of the LT-432.
Improved Assembly/Enhanced Armour:
In most cases when playing this tank, despite having good armour for a LT, there isn’t enough of that armour for enhanced armour to make a difference. This is especially true when facing higher penetration tier 8 tanks, or tier 9 tanks.
Improved assembly will take the tank’s HP from 1200 up to 1248, which will help you to survive longer when you do take damage.
However, enhanced armour is still viable.
Of all light tanks, the LT-432 is one of the few justifiable ones. The difference isn’t that noticeable, but the most obvious change will be the improvement to those triangular plates under the turret, which will be able to bounce all AP/APCR ammo from 122mm guns, without enhanced armour they get overmatched. You can see the difference below:

Refined gun:
Use refined gun. The LT-432 has got amazing gun handling of 0.1/0.1/0.1 base, and while vertical stabilizer does help to improve this and help improve effective aim time, its not what the LT-432 needs.
The LT-432 needs to maximize on its snapshot capability, since its a light tank with higher-level alpha damage, often you just poke out for a second, shoot, then pull back in one motion. This leaves no time to aim in whatsoever, and with a mediocre 0.344 dispersion, its not great for snapshotting.
Refined gun will decrease the dispersion from 0.344 to 0.292 dispersion, which is quite accurate for a gun with 280 alpha, and makes it much better for snapping shots. The great base handling means you don’t lose much by not using vertical stabilizer.
Gameplay advice
In terms of overall gameplay, the LT-432 is hard to compare to other tanks. The most similar would be the T-54 Ltwt due to its similar gun & top speed, but similarities end there.
The LT-432 has far more camo rating than the T-54 Ltwt, also more than even the next sneakiest tier 8 light. It has also far more armour, and higher alpha than most lights.
General gameplay:
The overall gameplay of the LT-432 is almost like a pseudo-medium tank, due to its larger gun caliber and better armour. However you still need to play the usual light tank role in many cases.
Take advantage of the high top speed to take spotting positions at the beginning of the battle. Usually this is best done on the medium flank due to its more open terrain with good lines of sight, though the center positions on many maps are also good for scouting.
The tank works well using hit-and-run tactics due to its higher alpha damage but slower reload compared to most medium & light tanks. Shoot an enemy, then use the high reverse speed to fully retreat while you reload for ~8s. Either reset your camo or wait for enemies to get distracted before peeking out to take another shot (damage trading isn’t worth it when you only have 1200 HP).
Trade with alpha damage against enemies, since your reload is fairly slow and alpha damage is high, many enemies you face will have a faster reload but do less damage, Take advantage of your higher damage and don’t let enemies shoot multiple times.
Use the great camo rating of the tank to hide in bushes and remain unspotted, at the start of the battle or mid battle if you need to flank. The LT-432 has the best camo rating of any non-TD tank in tier 8.
Angle the hull:
Angling the hull is always advantageous in this tank except when facing very low penetration levels. Against tier 7 enemies with 145-153mm penetration on AP, don’t angle. As long as you don’t facehug these enemies they struggle to penetrate the upper/lower plates.
Always angle the hull left/right against other enemies, as it makes the upper/lower plates a lot more troll to deal with. Angling makes the hull sides easily penetrable, which is why you need to keep moving and not just remain still to hope they shoot the hull front.
Use gun depression & size:
Using gun depression (4 degrees) makes the upper plate an auto-ricochet to any gun, which means you can bounce all AP and APCR ammo from any tank when you use gun depression.
While the turret is penetrable, its a very small area, so take advantage of it by only exposing the turret to shoot, then immediately retreat. The small size allows you to often do this without taking damage in return.
Essentially the gameplay of the LT-432 is as a quick and sneaky support tank. Gameplay should revolve around using the high camo rating and spotting capabilities, using the good alpha damage, and taking advantage of the troll armour and low profile.
Overall
Armour – 6/10
Gun – 7/10
Mobility – 6.5/10
Speed – 7/10
LT-432 is overall a good tank.
Armour by light tank standards is very good. Upper plate can bounce lower tier enemies, lower-lower plate has an auto-ricochet zone, HE protection is quite good, HESH protection is decent, with a very low profile.
Gun has great 280 alpha damage, great gun handling, premium penetration, & shell velocity. DPM & reload are decent, with decent aim time, but mediocre dispersion & standard penetration. Poor gun depression of -5 degrees.
Mobility is good, with a strong engine, good acceleration, and good traverse speed, though unimpressive terrain resistances. Reverse speed is amazing, the best of any light tank.
Speed is great, 70km/h.
Despite having good stats in most areas of the tank, this tank isn’t too strong or OP, as its held back by a few significant stats, these being gun depression,
Is it worth getting?
The LT-432 is worth getting if you like light tanks with sneaky gameplay, good alpha damage, and somewhat troll armour.
The LT-432 is very unique as a light tank, not just in tier 8 but the whole game. Its the only one to feature both good speed and troll armour, a very high -30km reverse speed, amazing camo rating, good damage, and premium AP shells.
If you don’t enjoy light tanks, or only like light tanks with good DPM or autoloaders, then LT-432 probably won’t be too enjoyable for you.
The LT-432 is worth 6,500 gold. The tank is is good, but nothing insane. It offers some very unique traits which make it worth playing, but also with a few noticeable drawbacks which make it a nice challenge.

Historical info:
LT-432 is a partially real tank, its essentially a T-64 prototype as a light tank with a very small turret and different gun.
The Object 432 was a prototype, it came after the development of the Obj.430 medium tanks, and eventually turned into the T-64 MBT.
A light tank version of this vehicle is inaccurate, the Obj.430-432 projects were always mediums, even though they were planned to have a high level of mobility.
The in-game LT-432 uses the identical hull model of the T-64A MBT, but a very flat turret. This turret seems to be the turret of the Object 775. Considering that turret could mount a 125mm missile launcher, its possible that a 100mm gun would be able to fit in its place.
Though there are visual differences in the turret, its very likely that the Object 775 was Wargaming’s inspiration for the turret of the LT-432.
Note that even though the hull of the LT-432 and the hull of the Object 775 may look very similar, the LT-432 uses the T-64 tank hull, which is not the same as the Object 775’s hull.
