Armour

Drag slider right -> to view 180mm AP
Drag slider <- left to view 250mm HEAT
Armour when flat and facing head-on:
Upper plate 215-245mm
Lower plate 75mm
Cupola 160-200mm
Side armour:
75mm flat
Armour performance:
Strong areas:
-There are no “strong areas” of armour on flat ground. If using at least -3 gun depression, then the entire upper plate can be an auto-ricochet.
Main weakpoints:
-Any part of the hull armour is weak to all enemies you face.
-The cupola is fairly large and weak to all enemies.

Using -5 gun depression:
Upper plate 265-300mm
Cupola 160-200mm
Gun
Firepower:
-Ammo: AP/HEAT/HE
-Penetration: 250/311/70mm.
-Alpha damage: 440/390/600
-Shell 1: 17.4s
-Shell 2: 8.5s (+3.00s)
-Reload time from empty: 25.9s
-Magazine potential: 880
Best DPM:
-Shell 2
-Reload: 8.5+3.00s = 11.5s
-DPM: 2294
Handling:
–Estimated aim time is 3.4/3.6s
–Base aim time is 2.45s, but it can get down to 1.89s.
-Dispersion is 0.326/0.277
–Gun handling is 0.14/0.08/0.2, or 0.12/0.07/0.18 with Vertical Stabilizer.
Usability:
-Shell velocities are 1100/1250/880 m/s.
-Gun depression is -5 degrees.
-Gun arc left/right is +4/-4 degrees.
Overall this gun is not terrible, but very disappointing when compared to similar TDs.
DPM is terrible, roughly 300 less than similar TDs. Aim time is slow, dispersion is average, and penetration is average.
This gun does have good shell velocity, HE shells & nice burst damage, but it pays for it massively with low DPM and poor gun flexibility.
The biggest issues with this gun are its terrible reload times on both shells, and terrible gun arcs, meaning you’re always having to turn the tank to get shots on enemies.
This gun feels like it trades all stats it should have (DPM, 460 apha, decent gun arc/gun depression), just to get a reserve shell, which if you use it, you cripple your DPM even further.
Mobility
Raw stats:
-Forward speed is 37km/h.
-Reverse speed is -15km/h.
-Raw acceleration rate is 17.4 hp/t.
-Engine power is 713hp for its 41 ton weight.
Hard terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 17.4 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 53.4 deg/s.
Medium terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 13.4 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 41.1 deg/s.
Terrain resistance stats:
–Terrain resistances are 1/1.3/1.5
Overall the mobility of this tank is decent, but not great considering that its armour isn’t always reliable. Top speed is also very limited.
Equipment Loadout
Object Kust has no special consumables or provisions.
Improved Ventilation/Calibrated Shells:
Either of these can work on this tank.
On one hand, vents are useful for their improved accuracy, aim time, reload time, and traverse speed, all making the tank a bit more comfortable to play.
On the other hand, the improved penetration helps to reduce the chances of bouncing off enemies, especially when firing from long range or shooting both shells.
Improved Assembly:
The upper plate of the Object Kust is quite weak, and most tanks in tier 8 won’t struggle to penetrate it, so using enhanced armour doesn’t have much effect. Most of the armour’s effectiveness comes from the very sharp angling of the hull, which using enhanced armour has no effect on.
For this reason, improved assembly is the better option.
Vertical Stabilizer:
Due to the already very good dispersion (0.326 base, 0.315 with vents) and poor gun handling/aim time, vertical stabilizer generally benefits this tank more.
Kust if fairly limited in top speed, turns quickly, and has very limited gun arc. While the dispersion when turning the hull is very good, the dispersion when turning the gun is terrible, and the limited gun arc means you almost always have to reposition to shoot an enemy, hence why vertical stabilizer is so useful.
Gameplay advice
Overall, the Obj. Kust is a sniper tank destroyer. Its slow top speed combined with weak armour (on flat ground), low DPM, and high camo rating make sniping at long range the most effective role for this tank in most battles.
General gameplay:
Its best to start the battle by sniping. Since you are quite far from the enemies, it gives you a chance to reload with your low DPM, while still dealing decent damage with single shots or bursts.
Sniping also benefits the tank’s playstyle as it has terrible gun depression and left/right gun arc, meaning that if it plays a more active role, it generally takes much longer to aim in, and is less accurate due to all the moving around its doing.
Sniping means you get plenty of time to aim in, and also aren’t the tank moving that much.
Kust also has very high camo rating, so mostly it can stay unspotted from enemies when sniping, and the 11.5s reload means that by the time you poke back out to shoot after reloading, your camo is already reset.
Use gun depression:
Kust’s armour is not angled at an auto-ricochet angle. If you fight enemies on flat ground, treat the tank like it has no armour at all, since the upper plate is fairly weak.
To make the upper plate an auto-ricochet angle, you need to be using at least 2-3 degrees of your gun depression. At this point all AP & APCR ammo will bounce off, and only HEAT ammo can deal with your armour.
You can see this in the image below against 225mm AP penetration.

When to use the reserve shell:
Its best to avoid going deep into the magazine and shooting that 2nd shell, as it basically cripples your tank’s ability to fight.
Consider that the reload time from a fully empty magazine, back to having 2 shells, is 26 seconds.
You can’t only reload 1 shell, as that is the reserve shell with a 17.4s reload if you shoot it again, so you have to reload both to get back to where you have usable DPM.
Never use the reserve shell if there is more than 1 enemy in your immediate area which may pose a danger to you. Shooting the reserve shell and killing one of the enemy tanks just lets the other one know you are on a very long reload.
Only use the reserve shell if:
1- You are sniping far away, and you have the time to reload fully without being in danger to enemies.
2- Its your last shot of the battle, either before you die to an enemy or before your team kills the last enemy.
3- A life or death situation which may affect the battle outcome, such as if using that reserve shell would save an ally, yourself, or kill a crucial enemy.
Never use it in a situation where you need consistent reload and DPM, in that case its best to wait for your first shell to reload back again.
Overall
Armour – 4.5/10
Gun – 4/10
Mobility – 5/10
Speed – 4/10
Object Kust is overall a mediocre tank.
Armour is weak on flat ground, but becomes strong with gun depression. Massive weak cupola always visible.
Gun has terrible DPM and slow aim time, with average accuracy, penetration, & alpha damage. Gun arc & gun depression are terrible.
Mobility is average, with decent acceleration and traverse speed on both medium & hard terrain. Reverse speed is average.
Speed is mediocre at 37km/h.
Is it worth getting?
Obj. Kust is not worth getting.
This is another tank like Ka-Ri, where it has a similar gun to other tier 8 TDs with 460 alpha, but trades off good base stats (DPM, alpha damage, aim time, etc) to have a funky gimmick. On the Ka-Ri its premium ammo damage, on Kust its the reserve shell.
If you want this tank purely for doing 2 shot bursts, then you could choose a GSOR 1008 or Vipera instead. If you want it for sneaky TD gameplay with good alpha, then you could get WZ-111-1G FT, ISU-130, or WZ-120-1G FT.
Obj. Kust is worth 5,000 gold. Its marginally more fun to play than a Ka-Ri (which is a very mediocre tank), due to its magazine and better mobility. However, when compared to fairly plain tech tree tanks, there isn’t much reason to want this tank.
Price guide:
Prices you can expect the tank to be sold for, based on previous sales in store.
N/A – (as this is tank is new and never sold for gold as of yet.)
