Armour

Drag slider right -> to view 180mm AP
Drag slider <- left to view 53mm HE
The tank is shown against HE due to it being very lightly armoured.
Armour when flat and facing head-on:
Upper plate 130mm
Lower plate 95mm
Turret 110-180mm
Gun mantlet 160-250mm
Armour vs any tier tank:
For its tier, the Škoda is very similarly armoured to the TVP T 50/51. It has good frontal protection against HE, but the sides are flat and weak. The turret and hull are both very weak to AP, but the mantlet can bounce shots.

HE protection:
The tank has decent HE protection, especially frontally. The sides are a flat 40mm, so can be quite easily penetrated if the tank isn’t angled enough.
The hull rear has good angling, so enemies need around 60mm penetration to go through reliably.
The above images are shown from the perspective of a 105mm gun with 53mm HE penetration.
Gun
The Škoda mounts an 8,8 cm (88mm) autoloader gun.
-Alpha damage is 220 on AP, 190 on APCR, and 270 on HE
-It has 3 shells in the magazine, with a 1,5s intra-clip reload, so in 3s it can burst out 660 damage.
-Magazine reload time is 16s, giving it 2089 DPM.
-Reload time is 16.3s, giving it 2052 DPM
-Penetration is 194mm on AP, 237mm on APCR, and 44mm on HE
–Estimated aim time is 2.9s/3.1s
–Base aim time is 1.7s, but it can get down to 1.39s.
-Dispersion is 0.308/0.277
–Gun handling is 0.16/0.16/0.12, or 0.14/0.14/0.09 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -8 degrees
This gun is one of the best on any tier 8 autoloader, its able to burst out its damage very quickly, and has a short clip reload. Accuracy and aim time are amazing, and it has flexible gun depression.
The only downsides:
Penetration, which can be mitigated by calibrated shells
Gun handling, which is mitigated by vertical stabilizer and its amazing aim time and dispersion.
Mobility
-Top speed is 50km/h forwards, and -20km/h in reverse
-Traverse speed is 66.6 deg/s on hard terrain, and 55.5 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In-game acceleration is shown as 23hp/t, with a strong 920 horsepower engine for its 40 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration is 23hp/t on hard terrain and 19.2hp/t on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are 1/1.2/1.5
Overall the mobility very good, with high acceleration rate and great traverse speed. The top speed isn’t anything too special, but its not bad.
If you’ve played a Progetto 46 or Bourrasque before, this tank has about the same acceleration and traverse as those two, so you’ll know how the mobility feels.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
Škoda T 27 has no special consumables or provisions.
Calibrated Shells:
The Škoda has fairly low penetration, and as its an autoloader, using calibrated shells barely lowers its DPM.
Using it decreases DPM from 2089 to 2052, but increases AP penetration from 194mm to 204mm, APCR from 237mm to 249mm, and HE from 44mm to 48mm.
Calibrated makes dealing with heavily armoured targets much more manageable, whereas Vents don’t really give much benefit due to this tank already having great accuracy. On this tank, since its penetration on premium ammo isn’t the best, calibrated shells are definitely needed.
Improved Assembly:
There is no armour to be enhanced on this tank. Improved assembly will increase this tank’s quite mediocre 1350 HP up to a decent 1431 HP.
Vertical Stabilizer:
As mentioned above, this tank has quite poor handling for a medium.
Vertical stabilizer will improve that poor gun handling, making the Škoda much more accurate during and after movement.
As the Škoda is an autoloader, after-shot-bloom is a very important statistic. Vertical stabilizer would improve it from 4.0 down to 3.4, which greatly helps the tank remain accurate while unloading its damage.
Gameplay advice
Škoda T 27 is a support tank, it takes opportunities to burst out its damage while enemies are on reload, but needs to be covered while it also reloads.
The Škoda is quite similar to the Bourrasque or Progetto 46 in its playstyle, it excels in flanking maneuvers where it can easily burst its full magazine into distracted enemies, or easily cause a distraction for its allies.
General gameplay:
Škoda T 27 needs to be played on the MT flank, due to its poor armour and fairly low HP. Its hard to trade damage with heavies since they have higher alpha, HP, and better armour.
Due to its great accuracy, quick burst fire, and reload, its also able to provide effective long-range support. It also has very good shell velocity with 1,020m/s on AP, so even if you’re sniping from across the map, it will still be able to fairly easily hit every shot.
Just like any autoloader, this tank needs allies to cover its reload, especially as it doesn’t really have armour or high HP to protect it. If there are no allies, then the best option is to just try avoid the enemy for 16s until you’ve reloaded.
Overall
Armour – 3/10
Gun – 9/10
Mobility – 8/10
Speed – 5/10
Škoda T 27 is overall a great tank.
Armour is weak, but it can frontally resist HE shells. Sides are weak to HE.
Gun has amazing accuracy, aim time, burst damage, intra-clip, and reload time. DPM & are decent, gun handling is mediocre.
Mobility is good, a strong engine with good acceleration, traverse speed is good and reverse speed is average.
Speed is average for a medium, with 50km/h.
Is it worth getting?
The main reason to get this tank is its gun, with the super fast intra-clip and amazing accuracy. Its quite an exciting gun to fire and this tank is a bit like a tier 8 version of the TVP T50/51, just having a bit more flexibility with a shorter reload.
Experienced players will do very well in this tank, and players who like autoloaders should love this tank.
Newer players may struggle a bit more with this tank though, as it has a 16s clip reload and no armour.
Škoda T 27 is worth 10,000 gold. Getting it cheaper is a good deal. While its not the absolute best tier 8 medium, its still very competitive, and definitely not to be underestimated. Its also a very fun and unique tank.
