Škoda T 27

Last updated on 24 April, 2026.

Škoda T 27 is a tier 9 Czech medium tank. It has a very quick intra-clip with a 3 shell autoloader, but has low alpha damage. Its lightly armoured for a medium tank, with decent mobility.

Armour

Drag slider right -> to view 220mm AP
Drag slider <- left to view 68mm HE

Armour when flat and facing head-on:
Upper plate 165-170mm
Lower plate 95mm

Turret 130-170mm
Gun mantlet 180-280mm

Strong areas:
-The gun mantlet is the only area which can bounce AP/APCR/HEAT.

Main weakpoints:
-Any area of the hull or turret is weak, except the auto-ricochet angles on the edge of the turret.
-The hull sides are very vulnerable to HE (as shown below).

Gun

Firepower:
-Ammo: AP/APCR/HE
-Penetration: 226/275/58mm.
-Alpha damage: 250/215/305
-Shells: 3
-Intra-clip reload: 1.50s
-Magazine reload: 14.9s
-DPM: 2521
-Burst damage: 750

Handling:
Estimated aim time is 2.9/3.1s
Base aim time is 1.7s, but it can get down to 1.31s.
-Dispersion is 0.308/0.262
Gun handling is 0.16/0.16/0.1, or 0.14/0.14/0.09 with Vertical Stabilizer.

Usability:
-Shell velocities are 1020/1125/520 m/s.
-Gun depression is -8 degrees over the front & sides, and -3 degrees over the rear.

Overall this gun is very mediocre. Its alpha damage is very low for tier 9, making it hard to trade with enemies, on top of this its gun handling is terrible for how little damage it deals. While quick accuracy & good aim time help, it forces you to always stop and aim every shot, making you take extra time to aim in.
Other than this the fast intra-clip reload makes it quick at unloading the magazine, and penetration is relatively low for a tier 9.

Mobility

Raw stats:
-Forward speed is 56km/h.
-Reverse speed is -20km/h.
-Raw acceleration rate is 22.8 hp/t.
-Engine power is 912hp for its 40 ton weight.

Hard terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 22.8 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 64.7 deg/s.

Medium terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 19 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 53.9 deg/s.

Terrain resistance stats:
Terrain resistances are 1/1.2/1.5

Overall this mobility is unimpressive for how little armour this tank has. The acceleration rate generally struggles to reach the top speed without a consumable or downhill boost, and traverse speed is just average.

Equipment, provisions, & consumables

Škoda T 27 has no special consumables or provisions.

Calibrated Shells:
The Škoda has fairly low penetration for a medium tank, especially on AP shells. Since the gun had good aim time/dispersion & is an autoloader, calibrated shells will be the better equipment choice.

Calibrated makes dealing with moderately armoured tanks much easier, since it increases the AP penetration from a “low” level to a “high” level among tier 9 mediums.
It increases AP penetration from 226mm to 244mm, APCR from 275mm to 289mm, HE from 58mm to 63mm.

Improved Assembly:
There is no armour on this tank that would benefit from being enhanced. Improved assembly is the better choice, increasing this tank’s 1620 base HP up to a 1685 HP.

Refined Gun:
As the Škoda T 27 has poor on-move gun handling, but good aim time & accuracy, it has to stop to take shots, or it misses easily.

Due to this its best to use refined gun, as you always have to stop to aim either way, so its better to improve that accuracy when you do aim in.

Gameplay advice

Škoda T 27 is a support tank, it takes opportunities to burst out its damage while enemies are on reload, but needs to be covered while it also reloads.

The Škoda is quite similar to the Bourrasque or Progetto 46 in its playstyle, it excels in flanking maneuvers where it can easily burst its full magazine into distracted enemies, or easily cause a distraction for its allies.

General gameplay:
Škoda T 27 needs to be played on the MT flank, due to its poor armour and fairly low HP. Its hard to trade damage with heavies since they have higher alpha, HP, and better armour.

Due to its great accuracy, quick burst fire, and reload, its also able to provide effective long-range support. It also has very good shell velocity with 1,020m/s on AP, so even if you’re sniping from across the map, it will still be able to fairly easily hit every shot.

Just like any autoloader, this tank needs allies to cover its reload, especially as it doesn’t really have armour or high HP to protect it. If there are no allies, then the best option is to just try avoid the enemy for 16s until you’ve reloaded.

Overall

Armour – 3/10
Gun – 4/10
Mobility – 5/10
Speed – 5.5/10

Škoda T 27 is overall a weak tank.

Armour is weak, but it can frontally resist HE shells. Sides are weak to HE.
Gun has quick intra-clip with good aim time & accuracy. Gun handling is poor, damage is low, & penetration is low.
Mobility is good, a strong engine with good acceleration, traverse speed is good and reverse speed is average.
Speed is average for a medium, with 56km/h.

Is it worth getting?

The Škoda T 27 is not worth getting. Its essentially just a worse and weaker version of the Škoda T 50 in the Tech tree.

It severely struggles to do damage against any enemy that can shoot back, as the damage is too low to out-trade anything, and the poor gun handling & low penetration often causes missed shots or bounces.
Due to this it feels like you have to play like a tryhard just to pull off “normal” damage numbers that other tier 9 MT would do easily.

Škoda T 27 is worth 8,000 gold. Its not a tank worth buying over its tech tree counterparts, a better use of gold would be to buy a tier 8 or a different tier 9.
