The Super Hellcat is essentially just a tier 7 Hellcat. It has amazing mobility, very high DPM, and no armour. Its HP is also pretty good for a tank with no armour.

Armour

vs 38mm HE (left image), 53mm HE (right image)
When un-angled:
-Upper plate 50mm
-Mid plate 30mm
-Lower plate 50mm
-Turret cheeks 70mm
-Gun mantlet 140mm
Against tanks of all tiers this tank has no armour to AP, the gun mantlet may occasionally bounce some shots, but its not reliable armour.
Note that in the images above, the tank is angled, but the armour numbers are taken as through the tank is not angled. Since HE doesn’t normalize and can’t overmatch, angling the Super Hellcat does help to increase the chances that a HE shell doesn’t penetrate.
Gun
The Super Hellcat mounts a 90mm gun
-Alpha damage is 240 on AP, 205 on APCR, and 320 on HE
-It has a 4.9s reload giving it 2949 DPM
-Penetration is 182mm on AP, 243mm with APCR, and 45mm on HE
–Estimated aim time is 3.1s/3.3s
–Base aim time is 1.9s, but it can get down to 1.55s.
-Dispersion is 0.326/0.293
–Gun handling is 0.18/0.18/0.08, or 0.15/0.15/0.07 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -9 degrees
-Turret is fully traversable
This gun is all round amazing. Its alpha damage is comfortable, it has great DPM and good penetration, the turret and gun are flexible, and the accuracy stats are all good. Its an accurate and consistent gun which perfectly suits the Super Hellcat’s playstyle.
Mobility
-Top speed is 65km/h, reverse speed is -20km/h.
-Traverse speed is 47 deg/s on hard terrain, and 39.2 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 26.3 hp/t, it has a very strong 538.2hp engine for its 20 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 26.4 hp/t on hard terrain, and 22 hp/t on medium terrain.
-Ground resistances are a good 1/1.2/1.9
This is great mobility for a tank destroyer, with very high top speed and very good acceleration which allows the tank to easily reach the top speed. Traverse speed is also good, especially when coupled with that fully traversable turret. The Super hellcat is one of the fastest tank destroyers in the game thansk to this mobility.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
The Super Hellcat has no special provisions/consumables.
3% + 10% Fuel:
Using both the 3% and 10% fuel is a decision up to you. This tank will benefit from this has it has a huge focus on its high speed and acceleration.
Alternatively using double food provisions also works, as the tank has an equal focus on its high DPM and great gun.
Gun Rammer:
The Super Hellcat does not struggle with penetration at all, it has enough penetration to go through even most tier 8 tanks. One of the main strengths of this tank is its amazing DPM, so use gun rammer to take advantage of this.
Gun rammer is what gives this tank its very quick 4.9s reload with 2949 DPM.
Camouflage Net:
The Super Hellcat doesn’t have great view range to begin with, there’s not much use in improving it. As this is a TD, it benefits by using camo net, and this will increase its camouflage to 74% when stationary, 53% when moving, and 19% when stationary and shooting the gun (with a level 7 camo crew skill, and while using camouflage paint).
Super Hellcat generally won’t be on the very front, spotting enemies, so its better to use the camo net.
Improved Assembly:
The Super Hellcat has no armour at all, so there is no reason to use enhanced armour. Its better to use improved assembly, which will increase the tank’s HP from 1100 up to 1166.
Vertical Stabilizer/Refined Gun:
The Super Hellcat already has good stats in both gun stabilization and accuracy, so it works will with either of these equipment choices.Â
Vertical stabilizer will help the tank to be more accurate when it plays actively, such as when pushing up and supporting medium and heavy tanks, flanking, or just playing on the 2nd line.
Refined gun enables the tank to be more accurate when the gun fully aims in, generally this is more helpful with sniping and passive gameplay, but it also works on the Super Hellcat for active gameplay due to the tank having already good gun handling and aim time.
Gameplay advice
The Super Hellcat is a fast support TD. It plays similarly to a support medium tank, but can also snipe and generally needs to play a bit more passively.
This tank has identical gameplay to the tier 6 tech tree Hellcat, so if you’ve played that before then the Super Hellcat should be easy to get used to.
General gameplay:
The Super Hellcat needs to start the battle by finding a passive support position, this can be a sniping bush or an elevated/ambush position which will let you get early shots into enemies, and support allies on the frontline.
When the battle progresses, or you see a chance to push forward/flank, you can start to play the tank more actively. Play it more like quick support medium, try to be exposed for as little time as possible and take advantage of enemies who aren’t aiming at you.
Utilize the tank’s great mobility to retreat or relocate if needed, the tank is very fast but it will take a while to reach its 65km top speed.
Other than the above mentioned, the Super Hellcat is just a pretty standard support TD with light armour. It can snipe but it can also double as a medium tank when needed, and it still has great firepower.
Overall
Armour – 3/10
Gun – 8.5/10
Mobility – 8/10
Speed – 10/10
Super Hellcat is overall a great tank.
Armour is very weak, but has a decent gun mantlet and decent frontal HE protection. The mid part of the front armour is weak to all HE.
Gun has amazing DPM, reload time, & gun depression. Accuracy & aim time are both good, gun handling and penetration are average.
Mobility is great, with a very strong engine that has great acceleration, and great reverse speed. Traverse speed is decent, gun flexibility is great.
Speed is very high, 65km/h.
Is it worth getting?
The Super Hellcat is a great tank, it has great stats and a very fun gameplay style. It is worth buying if you absolutely love the Hellcat and you want to be able to make credits in one. It plays exactly the same as a Hellcat, just with boosted stats to make it fit in tier 7.
If you just want the tank for the gameplay it offers, and don’t really want to spend gold for a premium Hellcat, then go get yourself the tech tree Hellcat, it plays the same. If you want it because you love the Hellcat, then its a great tank and is worth buying.
Super Hellcat is worth 4,500 gold. Its a very good tank that’s enjoyable to play, but it is pretty much the exactly same as the Hellcat, just at tier 7.
