Armour when flat and facing head-on:
Upper plate 105mm
Angled mid plate 250-350mm
Lower plate 100-120mm
Lower-lower plate 180mm
Turret cheeks 220mm
Gun mantlet 190-210mm (90mm at very center)
Cupola 86-110mm
Side armour:
The T-150’s side armour is 90mm, with 20mm track armour and no spaced armour. Overall this is very strong side armour for tier 6, and it makes sidescraping/angling in the T-150 extremely effective.

Using -7 gun depression:
Upper plate 110mm
Mid angled plate 330mm+
Turret cheeks 225-280mm
Gun mantlet 190-210mm (90mm at very center)
Cupola 115mm
Armour vs tier 5:
Against tier 5 enemies the T-150 is extremely strong. Its upper and lower plates will be penetrable to most enemies if not angling, however, once you turn the hull the tank becomes a nightmare to deal with.
If enemies use premium ammo they’ll be able to penetrate the tank more easily, even if its angling, however the tank still has very troll armour if it doesn’t sit still and uses its tracks to bait.
The turret is completely impervious except for the small hatch on top. When the turret is turned to the side, it can be penetrable by premium ammo.
Armour vs tier 6:
Against tier 6, the armour performance is noticeably worse. Enemies can now easily penetrate the hull front, even if you angle the tank (and even if you over-angle). The hull is still troll if the tank isn’t sat still, just due to the odd angles and thick armour plates. Premium ammo can penetrate more reliably, especially when going through tracks (for APCR at least).
The turret is still extremely strong, all standard ammo will bounce off, and only a few tanks with very high penetration premium ammo can penetrate the turret cheeks.
Armour vs tier 7:
Facing tier 7 enemies, the armour is least reliable. The only way to get bounces on the hull is by angling and hoping enemies have bad aim, miss your frontal armour plates and shoot the side armour.
The turret is still strong enough to bounce almost all standard ammo from tier 7 enemies, and premium ammo from tier 7 mediums, but expect heavy tank premium ammo to be able to penetrate.
Gun
The T-150 mounts a 107mm ZiS-6 gun.
-Alpha damage is 320 on AP, 270 on APCR, and 400 on HE.
-It has an 11.8s reload, giving it 1628 DPM.
-Penetration on AP is 167mm, APCR is 219mm, and HE is 54mm.
–Estimated aim time is 5.1/5.4s
–Base aim time is 2.9s, but it can get down to 2.23s.
-Dispersion is 0.407/0.346
–Gun handling is 0.25/0.25/0.2, or 0.22/0.22/0.18 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -7 degrees.
Overall this is a decent gun. Despite looking like it has pretty bad stats in quite a few areas, this gun does perform. Completely abysmal gun handling, with slow aim time and poor dispersion, however they are partially compensated by amazing penetration on both standard and premium ammo. DPM is low with a slow reload, however alpha damage is very high for tier 6, doing 320 per shot. Gun depression is good with -7, especially as the T-150 isn’t nearly as tall as the KV-2, it can actually put this gun depression to use.
Mobility
-Top speed is 35km/h forwards, and -11km/h in reverse.
-Traverse speed is 32.6 deg/s on hard terrain, and 26.1 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 14.9 hp/t, it has a strong 805 horsepower engine for its 54 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 12.4 hp/t on hard terrain, and 9.9 hp/t on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are 1.2/1.5/2.1
Overall this is good mobility, especially for the armour and gun that the T-150 carries. On hard terrain it has good traverse speed & acceleration rate, with average traverse & acceleration on medium terrain. Top forward speed is fairly average, but the tank doesn’t struggle to utilize it. Reverse speed & terrain resistances are both poor.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
The T-150 has no special consumables or provisions.
Gun Rammer:
Due to having amazing penetration, some of the best in all of tier 6, the T-150 doesn’t need calibrated shells at all, and its a bad choice on this tank. The T-150 has a very slow reload time of 11.8s even when using gun rammer, with a fairly low DPM of 1.6k, so its essential to improve that DPM just to have a slightly more competitive level of reload time and DPM.
Gun rammer would increase DPM from 1546 up to 1628, and improve reload time from 12.4s down to 11.8s.
Enhanced Armour:
The T-150 is a very armour focused tank, especially for angling as its an essential part of the gameplay of this tank. Enhanced armour makes a big difference on the T-150’s ability to angle against tier 5-6 tanks, as its strong side armour combined with its tracks make it very troll, similar to a KV-4 or KV-5 in tier 8.
Improved assembly won’t benefit this tank much, as an extra 48 HP, while useful, is not nearly as helpful as bouncing an extra few shots of damage.
Vertical Stabilizer:
The slow aim time and terrible gun handling of the T-150 make vertical stabilizer a mandatory choice.
While its accuracy is also terrible, improving it isn’t the best option for this tank due to the other accuracy stats, and the fact that this is a slow reloading heavy. If you just rely on improved dispersion of refined gun, your gun aims in much slower, forcing you to take more snapshots, and you can’t afford that in a tank with such a slow reload and slow aim time.
Gameplay advice
The T-150 is a damage-trading & armour-angling heavy, other than these two main traits, it plays just like a regular heavy tank.
General gameplay:
The T-150 should be played on the heavy flank, it works best here due to its slow reload and poor accuracy, since other heavies generally have similar traits.
Use alpha damage to trade, at tiers 5-6 there are very few enemies which have more than 320 alpha damage, most have 160-225. Don’t let enemies use their DPM on you, so try to avoid them for as long as possible to give yourself as much time to reload as possible. If you trade one-for-one, the only tanks you won’t win trades against are the KV-2 and KV-1S.
Always be angling and wiggling the hull, and never just show the front. The hull front is weak and you can’t even fully rely on it in tier 5 battles. Use the good traverse speed and angle the tank back and fourth, use the hull front to bait enemies into bounces, use the side to bait track shots.
Playing against tier 7s:
In tier 7 the effectiveness if your armour is less, and tier 7s also have much more DPM than any tier 6 enemy you’ll face.
Try to trade with alpha damage, in tier 7 there are still many tanks with under 320 alpha damage, which you can still win damage trades against. For higher alpha damage enemies, try to either sidescrape so they bounce, or wait for the to shoot another target before pushing out, since you won’t win on DPM nor alpha damage against such enemies.
Always try to angle and sidescrape, and play the tank like you have no hull armour at all. If you play in this way then you’ll be more careful about taking damage, and not relying on the hull armour when its at best unreliable against tier 7 enemies. Going hulldown and hiding the hull completely, or sidescraping to hide the front, are the best ways to use the armour in tier 7.
Go hulldown/use gun depression:
T-150 has a very strong turret, with good gun depression of -7 degrees, which means the armour works very well when the hull is hidden.
Don’t sit still when using gun depression, ad the T-150 does have a weakpoint right at the center of the gun mantlet, and a relatively small but weak cupola on the roof. Keeping moving slightly will mean enemies have to adjust their aim, and can’t just easily find shots into your weakpoints.
Always angle:
This is the T-150’s main trait, angling the hull. In battle you must always keep the hull at an angle, never straight-on. Even sitting at an angle, keep wiggling the hull back and fourth, since it really helps to troll even higher penetration enemies, and bait tanks into shooting the tracks. It is identical to a KV-4 or KV-5 in this gameplay aspect.
The hull sides are a very strong 90mm, which is only slightly less than your front which is 105mm, it allows the tank to employ an almost 45 degree over-angle against tier 5 enemies, and a 60 degree over-angle against tier 6 enemies.
Note how significant these angles are, most tanks are forced to angle at around 70 degrees, but the T-150’s sides allow it to be much more troll and angle its hull far more.
Sidescraping:
Since the T-150’s main armour use is angling, it is naturally great at sidescraping. In the images below you can see the T-150 both in a “regular” sidescrape, as other tanks would, and in an over-angled sidescrape, which you can pull off against same and lower tier enemies.
Just be wary that you do have a cupola which is penetrable.

vs 155mm AP
Left is a “regular” sidescrape.
Right is over-angled.
The gameplay of the T-150 really just revolves around armour angling, never just showing the hull front, and alpha damage trading. Other than this, the tank plays just like any other heavy, using hulldown positions, sidescraping, and just brawling in close quarters.
Overall
Armour – 8/10
Gun – 5.5/10
Mobility – 6/10
Speed – 5/10
T-150 is overall an amazing tank, arguably OP.
Armour is solid. Very strong side armour makes it easy to angle and sidescrape, weak front when not angled. Turret is very strong. Tank is not HE-able.
Gun has high alpha (320) & very good penetration, but poor aim time, gun handling, dispersion & low DPM. Gun depression is -7 degrees.
Mobility is good, with good acceleration & traverse speed on hard terrain, with lesser but still decent performance on medium terrain. Reverse speed is poor, -11km/h.
Speed is average, at 35km/h.
Is it worth getting?
The T-150 is definitely worth getting if you enjoy tanks which are just beasts at angling the armour and doing big damage. The T-150 is by far the best tank in tier 6 to angle, as it has the strongest side armour.
While its front isn’t as impressive as the other “best” tier 6 tanks, it can actually help the tank to serve as bait, since when it angles the front becomes harder to penetrate. On top of this the T-150 has good mobility, and a gun with great penetration and alpha damage. The combination just makes the T-150 an extremely dangerous force when facing tier 5-6, and still not to be underestimated in tier 7 battles.
The T-150 is worth 5,000 gold. Its an amazing and arguably overpowered tank, which breaks the stereotype for “OP” tanks; not having super strong frontal armour, extraordinary speed, or a high DPM or accurate gun. The T-150 is OP for its angling ability and very high durability, its mobility is still great for such solid armour, and its gun relies on pure penetrating ability and high alpha to be devastating.
