Armour

(The Titan Strife in the images is using Enhanced Armour)

vs 225mm AP

vs 265mm APCR

Drag slider right -> to view armour when un-activated
Drag slider <- left to view armour when activated

Armour when flat and facing head-on:
Base upper plate 280-285mm
Upper plate + spaced armour 460mm+
Light weakpoint on left upper plate 175-180mm
Lower plate 140mm
Lower-lower plate 200mm

Turret front 245-360mm

Side armour:
Titan Strife’s side armour is 90mm thick, making it good for angling, and sidescraping when armour is activated. The tracks are also very thick at 35mm, so the track wheels aren’t easy weakpoints.

Armour vs tier 7:
Against tier 7, the tank has almost no weakpoints. The only areas that enemies can penetrate are the lower plate, and the light weakpoint on the upper plate.

All other areas of armour, upper plate, lower-lower plate, & turret front will impenetrable to tier 7 enemies.

When armour is activated, the only area that changes is the light weakpoint, which will become hidden.

Armour vs tier 8-9:
Facing tier 8-9 enemies, the upper plate will be fully impenetrable to all standard ammo, except on the light weakpoint. Nearly all tier 8 premium ammo will be unable to penetrate the upper plate unless the hull is angled. Most tier 9 heavy tanks will be able to easily penetrate the upper plate using premium ammo due to their high premium penetration.

The turret front will be penetrable to all premium ammo from tier 8-9 heavy tanks, though only on a few fairly narrow sections, making them hard to hit. The turret can be angled to help get some more bounces.

Activating the armour covers the light weakpoint, but otherwise has very little effect for most situations. It will help to bounce tier 8 premium ammo if your hull is turned to the side, or it can help to bounce tier 9 premium ammo if they shoot your upper plate.

Gun

The Titan Strife mounts a 105mm gun.

-Alpha damage is 340 on AP, 290 on HEAT, and 430 on HE.
-It has a 8.9s reload, giving it 2303 DPM.
-Penetration on AP is 218mm, HEAT is 290mm, and HE is 65mm.
Estimated aim time is 3.8/4.1s
Base aim time is 2.4s, but it can get down to 1.85s.
-Dispersion is 0.362/0.308.
Gun handling is 0.22/0.22/0.1, or 0.19/0.19/0.09 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -6 degrees.
-Shell velocity is 950/700/700 m/s on AP/HEAT/HE.

Overall this is a decent gun. It has poor gun handling and mediocre dispersion, but decent aim time. Penetration is good, with amazing HEAT penetration. Alpha damage and DPM are both great, making a very nice combination.

The biggest issue of this gun is the poor -6 gun depression, which doesn’t seem terrible, but when factoring in the size of this tank, its makes things very awkward in battle.

Mobility

-Top speed is 32km/h forwards, and -13km/h in reverse.
-Traverse speed is 32.6 deg/s on hard terrain, and 25.1 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 12.3 hp/t, it has a decent 776 horsepower engine for its 63 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 12.3 hp/t on hard terrain, and 9.5 hp/t on medium terrain.
Terrain resistances are 1/1.3/1.7

Overall this is poor mobility. The tank feels very slow and sluggish compared to other vehicles, and its easily out-maneuverered by even other heavy tanks.

Top speed is below average but decent, traverse speed on hard terrain is decent, but slow on medium terrain. Acceleration on hard terrain is decent, but slow on medium terrain. With most of the terrain in game being medium terrain, it results in poor mobility.

Equipment & provision setup

The Titan Strife has Dynamic Armour, the only special provision/consumable it has access to.

Dynamic Armour:
This consumable makes very little difference to the armour effectiveness of the Titan Strife.

The only use that it really provides is that 10% damage absorption, which will let your HP last longer in battle. In niche situations the additional armour does help, but these situations are niche so they aren’t common.

The consumable is still worth using just for that 10% damage reduction, as it does make a big difference to your HP.

Gun Rammer:
Due to its amazing premium penetration (and already good standard penetration), calibrated shells is definitely not needed and just gives an overkill and unnecessary amount of penetration, it will give the Titan very little benefit at the cost of lowering its DPM effectiveness.

Gun rammer is a far better choice, as it helps to improve the good combination of this tank’s higher alpha damage and its good DPM. Gun rammer improves the reload time from 9.3s down to 8.9s, and improves DPM from 2188 up to 2303.

Enhanced Armour:
Due to how strong the Titan’s armour is, enhanced armour is worth using.

It makes a noticeable difference on the lower-lower plate when facing enemy mediums or tier 7 tanks. It also improves the weakest points on the turret front from 245mm to 252mm, which will make a difference against tier 9 heavies. The upper plate will also be far more reliable in bounce tier 8 tanks in close range, or just tanks with 280-290mm of premium penetration.

Vertical Stabilizer:
While its dispersion of 0.362 isn’t great, its not terrible, especially for having an above average level of alpha damage.

On the other hand the gun handling is also quite mediocre, but combine this with the fact this tank is slow, and is almost always moving due to how slow it is, the gun handling is really noticeable.
Using vertical stabilizer helps a lot with the tank’s consistency in the mid to close ranges that you often fight at, especially due to how slow your hull and turret traverse, you are often turning these to get your gun on target, and the improved stabilization really makes a difference.

Gameplay advice

The Titan Strife plays a fairly normal heavy tank role, however you have to watch out for the poor mobility and gun depression of the vehicle, which make it quite a bit less flexible than other heavies.

General gameplay:
Due to its poor mobility, the Titan Strife only really works well when its fighting heavy tanks. It really struggles when facing faster and more agile vehicles, just due to being fairly inaccurate and having a very slow turning turret. Hence its best to play this tank on the heavy tank side of the map.

Generally try to stay on hard terrain, it makes quite a difference to mobility, even though you probably won’t notice too much. Hard terrain areas are roads, paths, & concrete/paved areas. Medium terrain is where you have worse mobility, which is all off-road areas.

Don’t rush shots, since the tank really needs to aim in its shots just to ensure they hit and penetrate. The aim time of the Titan isn’t terrible, but it definitely isn’t a tank that does well with snapshotting or rushed shots.

Go hulldown:
Hiding the lower plate on this tank causes it to be impenetrable to most standard ammo you face, its not too hard to do, as this tank has quite a narrow lower plate, and you are able to angle it due to being a pike nose.

Be very careful using gun depression in this tank, as its tall gun mount and poor -6 gun depression make it quite awkward and hard to use in many positions. Its best to try fighting on terrain which is quite flat, as uneven terrain really gives you issues due to the gun depression, especially at point blank range against smaller enemies.

Correct hull angling:
When you fight tier 7, you can angle the hull, it makes the lower plate stronger without decreasing your chances of bouncing on the upper plate.

Fighting low penetration tier 8 tanks (such as mediums or lights), its the same situation, you can angle the hull to make the lower plate more challenging to penetrate.

Against tier 8 heavies, or mediums with good penetration (such as Centurions), and against tier 9 tanks, don’t angle the hull, as it makes the upper plate more vulnerable to enemy premium ammo, and it won’t do too much for the lower plate.

Turn the turret:
Turning the turret can really help to bounce shots from tier 8 premium ammo. The weakest parts of the turret are narrow flat bars at the bottom areas of the turret, right under the gun and at the back of the turret. These are 245mm thick, but if you angle the turret by turning it, they can go up to 265-170mm thick.

Try not to angle too far, despite the turret’s odd shape and angles, turning it too far will allow enemies to penetrate its sides, so try to avoid “over-angling” it.

Utilize the HEAT & HE:
Part of what makes the Titan’s gun great are the different ammo types you get. The HEAT ammo has very high penetration, and you can very easily deal with most enemies you face, in most situations. The HE is also great, with a very good 65mm penetration, and a very nice 430 alpha damage, its mainly useful against the sides and rears of enemy medium & light tanks.

Overall gameplay of this tank is simple, go to the heavy flank, hide the lower plate, bounce shots, and trade damage. Try to angle the turret to bounce premium ammo, and make good use of this tank’s great ammo choice.

Overall

Armour – 8/10
Gun – 6/10
Mobility – 3/10
Speed – 3.5/10

Titan Strife is overall a decent tank.

Armour is very solid, with very thick upper plate armour, good turret armour, and good side armour. Turret can be angled, but hull is a pike nose. HE protection is great, HESH protection is average.
Gun
has great DPM, high penetration, good HE shells, & good alpha damage. Aim time is decent, though dispersion & gun handling are mediocre, with poor-6 gun depression due to large size.
Mobility is poor, with unimpressive acceleration & traverse speed on hard terrain, and slow acceleration & traverse speed on medium. Turret traverse is the slowest of any HT in game, & reverse speed is below average at -13km/h.
Speed is mediocre, at 32km/h.

Is it worth getting?

The Titan Strife isn’t worth getting. While this is a fairly unique tank just due to its armour reliability and fairly different gun, it isn’t too interesting or exciting to play, and it can sometimes be frustrating due to the poor mobility and the gun missing.

If just want a tank with good armour that will be able to bounce shots, then this tank may be worth it for you, as it is very good in terms of its armour.

The Titan Strife is worth 7,000-9,000 gold.
7,000 is its value if you want a fun or interesting tank to play, since its really not much of either, however it is at least slightly interesting with its solid armour and good DPM.
9,000 is the value if you are looking at it as a competitive vehicle, as this tank is a good tank, with very strong and troll armour, great penetration, DPM & alpha damage, and while it is very slow, the armour helps to justify it.
