Armour when flat and facing head-on:
Upper plate 280-285mm
Front superstructure 335-355mm
Area around mantlet 290mm
Lower plate 175mm
Cupola 160-200mm
Side armour:
112mm behind the tracks
150mm on the side of the cabin

vs 246mm AP (top image), 320mm HEAT (bottom image)
Using -9 gun depression:
Upper plate 375mm
Front superstructure 390-410mm
Area around mantlet 330mm
Cupola 170mm
Armour performance:
Strong areas:
-The entire upper superstructure is very strong, and able to bounce most ammo (not including tanks with calibrated shells).
-The upper plate is also strong, but penetrable to premium ammo, or if tanks are looking down on it.
Main weakpoints:
-The lower plate & cupolas are weak, penetrable to HESH ammo.
-The viewport on the driver’s hatch is a tiny weakpoint but easily penetrable to AP.
-The area around the gun mantlet is only weak against premium ammo.
Gun
Firepower:
-Ammo: AP/HEAT/HE
-Penetration: 288/360/70mm.
-Alpha damage: 480/410/600
-Reload time: 9.0s
-DPM: 3189
Handling:
–Estimated aim time is 2.8/2.9s
–Base aim time is 1.45s, but it can get down to 1.12s.
-Dispersion is 0.389/0.331
–Gun handling is 0.3/0.3/0.08, or 0.26/0.26/0.07 with Vertical Stabilizer.
Usability:
-Shell velocities are 880/870/790 m/s.
-Gun depression is -6 degrees, or -9 degrees with equipment.
-Gun arc left/right is +10/-10 degrees.
Overall this gun is decent. The terrible gun handling and poor dispersion are somewhat balanced out by the very quick aim time, but you still have to stop to take shots due to it. Other than the handling, all other stats are great, penetration is very high, and DPM is high for the alpha damage.
Gun depression is enough at -6, but with equipment, having -9 allows you to really use the armour and hide the lower plate properly, also makes setting up shots on enemies much easier.
Mobility
Raw stats:
-Forward speed is 32km/h.
-Reverse speed is -12km/h.
-Raw acceleration rate is 12.9 hp/t.
-Engine power is 541hp for its 42 ton weight.
Hard terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 12.9 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 40.8 deg/s.
Medium terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 9.2 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 29.1 deg/s.
Terrain resistance stats:
–Terrain resistances are 1/1.4/2
Equipping Improved Suspension equipment increases acceleration by 2-3hp/t, and traverse by 5-10 degrees/s.
Overall the mobility of this tank is poor. While the tank is well armoured and has high HP, its still a slow tank overall, especially on medium terrain due to its terrain resistances. You really struggle to reach the low top speed if not on hard terrain.
If you use Improved Suspension, the tank is much more mobile, and turns noticeably faster. It still can struggle to reach its top speed if going along uneven medium terrain, but mobility is still much better when using this equipment.
Equipment Loadout
WZ-120G FT has no special consumables or provisions.
Gun Rammer:
Use gun rammer on this tank, one of the unique traits this tank has is its great combination of 480 alpha with good DPM, and gun rammer enhances this trait. Due to very high penetration, calibrated shells isn’t needed.
Gun rammer would improve the reload time from 9.5s to 9l0s, and DPM from 3029 to 3189.
Improved Suspension/Improved V-Stabs:
These two will cause the tank to play in very different ways. Its best to try out each one for a few battles to see which one suits your playstyle best.
Generally improved suspension works better in most cases, as the WZ-120G FT doesn’t have a turret, and thus needs good hull traverse speed to compensate for that. With the slow default traverse speed, it reacts quite slowly to situations, and makes the armour slower to angle to enemies.
While Improved V-stabs can be useful with that extra gun depression (making it -9), on most maps there are areas where gun depression isn’t needed, or you’ll just snipe instead, making it only useful in some situations, whereas the better mobility is useful in all situations.
Enhanced Armour:
Enhanced armour is useful on this tank for making the upper plate stronger against standard ammo, especially from tier 10 HT, or enemies using calibrated shells. It also helps against premium ammo when angling the hull.
Improved assembly also can work, as the default armour of this tank is already quite strong, and the extra HP can sometimes help to survive longer.

Refined Gun:
Despite horrendous gun handling, vertical stabilizer is basically useless on this tank, as you have to stop and aim each shot, no matter what equipment you are running. Due to this, you may as well have better dispersion when you get aimed in, since you aim fast and are forced to stop & aim for each shot.
Gameplay advice
The general gameplay of this tank is somewhat like a Jagdtiger or WZ-111G FT, where it has some good HP & armour to use in a support role, but is still more than capable of sniping.
Overall this tank plays as an armoured support TD, where its either on the frontlines (in a top tier battle), or on the 2nd line (when fighting tier 10 tanks) to support allied heavy tanks with its good firepower.
Sniping does work well, and its better to snipe in cases where playing as a frontline support just wouldn’t work (such as if there are are many high hp/hulldown heavy tanks).
If on the frontline/second line, always stop to shoot. If not stopping to aim each shot, then shots will likely miss due to the terrible dispersion and gun handling.
Gameplay with gun depression equipment:
If you have Improved v-stabs, then you’ll have -9 gun depression with slower mobility. In this setup you should try find positions where you can go hulldown and use that gun depression, as it significantly increases the armour and you’ll be impenetrable to nearly everything.
Generally positions where you can make use of that gun depression are on the frontline, so you have to be a bit more cautious, especially when facing tier 10 enemies. Often it will work out well to start the battle sniping, then after your allies have softened up the enemies, then push in and utilize your strong armour and good HP.
Be wary of your mobility, as its easy to get circled even by slower enemy tanks. Always try to predict the enemy’s movements so you don’t get out-maneuvered.
Always stay on roads & paved areas (hard terrain), as the mobility on medium terrain (any off-road area) is much worse.
Gameplay with the mobility equipment:
With Improved Suspension, the tank will generally be more comfortable to play. For most second line positions, when in a city environment, or when sniping, -6 gun depression is generally plenty. The main thing to note is to try avoid uneven terrain with dunes or hills, as that’s where you’d need more gun depression.
In general its best to follow heavy tanks and support from 2nd line positions, or snipe at the start of the game then push up to the front later. The improved mobility make the tank much more flexible with getting around the map and turning to hit targets, but its still imperative to stay on hard terrain, as the mobility is much better than on medium terrain.
Overall
Armour – 7/10
Gun – 6.5/10
Mobility – 3/10
Speed – 3/10
WZ-120G FT is overall a decent tank.
Armour is strong overall on both front and sides, but with a weak cupola & lower plate.
Gun has great DPM for 480 alpha, fast aim time, and high penetration. Accuracy & gun handling are both poor.
Mobility is poor, with slow acceleration & traverse speed, and slow -12km/h reverse speed.
Speed is poor, 32km/h.
Is it worth getting?
WZ-120G FT will only be worth getting for some players. While it has some pretty good stats, they are offset by just a few very awkward other stats.
The great DPM, alpha damage, penetration, and aim time, are countered by being forced to stop and fully aim each shot you take. The strong overall frontal armour is countered by poor mobility, so its certainly not a tank every player can enjoy.
WZ-120G FT is worth 11,000 gold. Its a pretty unique tanks in terms of the traits it has, with the higher 480 alpha (compared to usual 460), and the unique equipment choice it has, however its nothing super special in playstyle, and is fairly similar to tech tree tanks such as Jagdtiger.
