Armour
(The 50TP Prototyp in the images is using Improved Assembly)

Drag slider right -> to view 245mm AP
Drag slider <- left to view 300mm HEAT
Armour when flat and facing head-on:
Upper plate 305-340mm
Driver’s cabin 160-195mm (sides are auto-ricochet)
Armour under turret 165-250m`m
Lower plate 140mm
Turret 270-430mm+
Right cupola 190mm
Note that the left cupola is not modelled, if you shoot it, you won’t damage the tank.

vs 300mm HEAT
Using -8 gun depression:
Upper plate is hidden
Driver’s cabin 170-235mm (sides are auto-ricochet)
Turret 390-700mm+
Cupola is nearly fully hidden
Note that the top image is when the hull is in front of you, the bottom image is with the hull turned completely to the side (which hides the driver’s viewport).
Alternatively, just don’t push up more than needed.
Armour vs tier 8 tanks:
Tier 8 tanks will be able to penetrate the hull either on the lower plate, driver’s cabin, or the armour under the turret.
The upper plate and the edges of the driver’s cabin are both auto-ricochet angles.
The turret is fully impenetrable to all tier 8 HT, MT, and LT, except for the small hatch on the roof.
Armour vs tier 9-10 tanks:
The hull remains the same, with the weak driver cabin, armour under the turret, and the lower plate.
The turret also remains nearly impenetrable, however tanks with 290mm+ HEAT penetration (APCR will bounce) will be able to penetrate the turret right under where the left and right hatches are. This is quite hard weakpoint to it as its small, and especially when the tank is moving, but its still a viable place to shoot.
The rest of the turret is still impenetrable except for the hatch (which is nearly hidden when using gun depression).
Weakpoints:
-On the turret, you can penetrate the bulges right under the hatches with about 290mm penetration.
-The small viewport right in front of the right hatch can sometimes be damaged, but you have to try and hit quite low on the viewport. This has been tested and it does work, but only about 20-40% of the shots did damage, and that was at a distance of less than 60m.
-When using gun depression, you can hit the driver’s cabin (if the 50TP pushes up the ridge too much)
-When the hull is facing towards you, you can penetrate under the turret, but not the sides of the driver cabin. When the tank is turned, you can penetrate the sides of the driver’s cabin.
Gun
The 50TP Pr mounts a 122mm gun.
Firepower:
-Ammo: AP/APCR/HE.
-Penetration: 248/320/68mm.
-Alpha damage: 440/380/560.
-Reload time is 11.7s for 2257 DPM.
Handling:
–Estimated aim time is 3.6/3.9s
–Base aim time is 2.55, but it can get down to 1.96s
-Dispersion is 0.335/0.285
–Gun handling is 0.15/0.15/0.1, or 0.13/0.13/0.09 with Vertical Stabilizer.
Usability:
-Shell velocities are 1007/1259/1007 m/s.
-Gun depression is -8 degrees around the entire tank, except the rear where its -5.
This is an amazing gun, it has an extremely comfortable feel to it, thanks to good alpha, good accuracy, amazing gun handling, great penetration, and good gun depression. Only its aim time and DPM are quite mediocre, but you won’t even feel it that much with the other impressive gun stats that compensate it.
The tank can also use tungsten shells, which will let the tank do 506 damage on its standard ammo (until the consumable runs out).
Mobility
Raw stats:
-Forward speed is 45km/h.
-Reverse speed is -15km/h.
-Raw acceleration rate is 16.6 hp/t.
-Engine power is 863hp for its 53 ton weight.
Hard terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 15.1 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 40.8 deg/s.
Medium terrain mobility:
-Actual acceleration is 12.8 hp/t.
-Traverse speed is 34.5 deg/s.
Terrain resistance stats:
–Terrain resistances are 1.1/1.3/1.7
Overall the 50TP Pr has great mobility. It is among the best mobility of any heavy tank in tier 9, with an extremely high top speed, great reverse speed (if using gear oil), quick traverse speed, and high acceleration rate.
Using gear oil would increase top speeds to 49/-19 km/h, effective acceleration by 0.7hp/t, and traverse speed by 1.5 degrees/s.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
50TP Pr has Gear Oil, Improved Gunpowder, and Tungsten Shells for special consumables/provisions.
Consumables:
Use adrenaline, it pairs well with tungsten shells, and its useful in all battles.
Multi-purpose repair kit is an essential, as if you don’t take it then you won’t be able to repair anything if it gets damaged.
Tungsten shells are a special point of the Polish HT, and you should definitely be using it in battle. It increases the AP damage up to 506.
Provisions:
Use 10% food, as it improves everything about the gun, as well as traverse speed and view range.
10% fuel is essential on this tank as one of its main points is its great mobility.
6% gear oil is essential, it increases the reverse speed of this tank to -19km/h, and reverse speed is a very strong stat to have on a heavy tank. This is a much better choice than the alternative 3% food or fuel, or even the protective kit.
Gun Rammer:
The 50TP Pr already has very good penetration, and definitely does not need to use calibrated shells. The active and aggressive playstyle of the tank benefits much more from a faster reload, so its better to use the gun rammer on this tank, especially as its DPM isn’t impressive.
Gun rammer would improve the DPM from 2144 to 2257, and lower the reload from 12.3s to 11.7s.
Improved Assembly:
The 50TP Pr does not benefit from enhanced armour at all, therefore do not use it. The parts of its armour that do get bounces, don’t need enhancing, and the parts that get penetrated are too weak to enhance.
Use improved assembly, so the tank can take more hits in battle. Improved assembly improves the tank’s HP from 2100 up to 2184.
Vertical Stabilizer:
The 50TP Pr has both good accuracy, and good handling; however, as it is a fast, active heavy tank, it benefits more from the vertical stabilizer than it does from refined gun.
Vertical stabilizer makes the gun more consistent and accurate when the tank features an active and constantly moving playstyle, and it is especially important for heavy tanks to use, as they are often fighting in close quarters fights, where good handling is far more useful than good accuracy.
Gameplay advice
The 50TP Pr plays as a role somewhat like a heavium, but it can also just brawl with other heavies as it has got a true heavy tank gun and turret armour profile.
General gameplay:
The 50TP Pr is a frontline heavy/heavium tank. Its always in brawls with other tanks, and its always playing an active role. This tank does not sit in a location and play passively. To do well in this tank, it must be played aggressively.
Use the strengths of its high speed and maneuverability, accurate and high damage gun, and strong turret to intimidate opponents, reach positions early, flank around distracted enemies, coordinate pushes, or even go to the medium flank and crush it.
Know your strong points in this tank, and use them. If you do that, you can’t really do badly in this tank, as its just so capable. The most important thing in battles is hiding the hull whenever possible, as that will be the area where you take damage. Don’t be over-confident in your or the tank’s abilities, there are limitations to what you can achieve in any situation, so while you need to be aggressive, do still play smart.
Never angle or sidescrape:
The 50TP Pr cannot sidescrape and it cannot angle. Its side armour curves inwards right under the turret, and this curve means that there is no sharp angle to create bounces. Enemies will also just be able to shoot into the side of the driver’s cabin, as it won’t be an auto-ricochet when you angle the hull.
Aim your shots:
This tank can definitely snap shots in easily and quickly, however its still best to give your gun a little bit of time to aim when its possible. The aim time is really the only unimpressive point of this gun, at 3.7-4.1s. You don’t have to wait long for the gun to become accurate, as its great handling and good gun dispersion mean its still relatively accurate with minimal aiming.
Use gun depression and go hulldown:
The biggest part of gameplay that you must utilize in the 50TP Pr is using the tank’s turret armour. Its one of the most reliable and strongest turrets in tier 9, due to having such a small weakpoint, and such good effective armour.
This is also important as the hull is fairly weak. You may occasionally get some bounces on it, but the hull armour is not at all reliable, so the turret is the only armour you can actually rely on.
Try to not sit still when hulldown, while the hatch is small, there are quite a few tanks with good accuracy that can snipe it, or enemies may just get lucky. Try to keep moving back and fourth slightly, to throw off the enemy’s aim.
Using ridgelines:
Be careful to not poke too far up on a ridge, only push up to the minimum point, where you can shoot the enemy, if you push up more than you need, then enemies can shoot the driver’s cabin.

Overall
Overall the 50TP Pr is by far one of the most versatile tier 9 and strongest tier 9 heavy tanks. Its able to be extremely mobile and quick on any map and any terrain. It has a very accurate gun with great penetration and alpha, even with decent DPM. The armour of the tank isn’t even weak, with an extremely strong turret profile and a small weakpoint.
Its only real downside is its hull armour with many weakpoints and being unable to sidescrape, however there are still troll areas which enemies bounce off.
Is it worth getting?
While its not available in stores, the 50TP Prototyp is 100% worth grinding Clan Challenge events. You get an exclusive, very powerful tier 9 tank for completely free. Even if you didn’t like the tank, you can sell it 5,000 gold.
The 50TP Prototyp is worth 17,500 gold. Its an extremely powerful tank which is unmatched in its capabilities, and when played by a good player this tank is definitely overpowered. It can just carry games with such ease due to how comfortable everything on the tank is, great speed and mobility, great accuracy and alpha, and amazing turret armour with still quite a troll hull. AND it gets access to tungsten shells.
When played by a less skilled player the tank will seem just average, but its a tank that’s capable of achieving insane results.

Historical Note:
The 60TP, 50TP, 50TP Prototyp, and 45TP are all fully fake tanks.
The visuals, guns, armour thickness (exception 60TP), suspension, engines used, ammunition, gun angles, armour designs, EVERYTHING on and about these tanks were made up by WG.
The only Polish “heavy” tanks with real deigns behind them are the 40TP, a medium tank in real life, and the 53TP, in its stock form (the top turret and gun are made by WG).
The 60TP and 50TP had an “idea” behind them, and WG took this “idea” and made a tank from each of them.
The 60TP was thought up by Richard Lewandowski. All that was said about this tank was “a weight of 60 tons, and 200mm of armour”.
The 50TP was thought up by Tadeusz Tyszkiewicz. All that was said about the tank was that it was “a heavy tank to weigh 50 tons”.
The 50TP Prototyp was apparently a draft version of the 50TP by Tadeusz Tyszkiewicz, which doesn’t make much sense, as how could there be a draft version for an idea that barely existed in the first place?
Both of these were cadets at the Military Technical Academy of Warsaw in the early 1950s, where they came up with these designs, but progressed no further. These tanks are just ideas, with no actual designs behind them.
The 45TP was made up by WG. While Habich did design a few tanks (including the 40TP), none of them were heavy tanks. And he stopped with the 40TP, as Poland was invaded before further development could continue.
While completely fake in design, these tanks are quite good representations of “what if” Polish heavy tanks. Some do resemble Soviet tank designs, which is what the 40TP (the real tank) was partially influenced by. Had development of Polish heavy tanks actually happened, it is quite likely that they would be at least partially inspired by Soviet tanks.
