Drag slider <- left to view 265mm APCR
Flat ground:
Upper plate 275mm
Lower plate 175mm
Turret mostly over 300mm
Cupola 130-180mm
There’s essentially no difference between these two levels of penetration. This shows how resilient the armour of the Chrysler is, but also that the weakpoints are very obvious in its armour.
Note that the 2 small MG ports on the hull front are not weakpoints. Only the cupola and lower plate are weakpoints.

vs 265mm APCR
Sidescraping:
Side armour 280-380mm
Track area 280-340mm
Side armour:
The Chrysler K has very strong side armour, with 101mm on the area behind the tracks, and 110mm on the area above the tracks.
Its also completely one uniform angle, so there are no weakpoints when sidescraping.
As an enemy facing the Chrysler in a sidescrape, you have a few options.
-One is to shoot the cupola, which is weak and quite large, but this only shows up if the tank sidescrapes with the turret turned on a certain side of the hull, but not the other side.
-The other option is to shoot HE above the tracks, at the area where the hull juts out. This “underflap” is only 19mm thick, so any HE shell will do a very considerable amount of damage if hitting here.
Armour vs all tier 7-9 tanks:Â
Chrysler’s armour performance doesn’t change throughout tiers, if its strong in tier 7, its still strong in the same areas in tier 8-9 battles.
The lower plate is always weak, only tanks with under 160mm of pen will really struggle against it. The upper plate and turret can’t be penetrated by any tanks in tiers 7-9.
The only chance enemies have to penetrate the upper plate is of they facehug it and have high enough penetration. In a facehug the upper plate is only about 260mm thick, so if you’re playing the Chrysler, keep the hull angled.
Playing against a Chrysler:
-Chrysler’s only weakpoints are its lower plate and hatch. The hatch is weak, but its fairly small, so it isn’t the most reliable weakpoint.
If your tank is low profile and has a strong turret (like an IS-3), you can facehug the Chrysler and penetrate the upper plate with APCR/HEAT. The Chrysler can only shoot the very strong turret, and will likely lose in this situation.
-If a Chrysler is sidescraping and you can’t penetrate it with any type of damaging shell, shoot HE where the hull extends over the tracks. There is a 19mm plate, and the splash damage can actually cause a decent amount of damage to the Chrysler, and may make it stop sidescraping.
-Chrysler K is basically invincible when the lower plate is hidden, so if its in such a position, don’t let it just farm damage. Either coordinate a push, or flank the Chrysler while its distracted. Never flank it if you don’t have distractions, Chrysler is a very fast and mobile tank and it will be able to react to the situation.
Gun
Chrysler K mounts a 105mm gun.
-Alpha damage is 310 on AP, 260 on APCR, and 400 on HE
-It has an 8.7s reload, giving it 2145 DPM
-Penetration on AP is 218mm, APCR is 265mm, and HE is 53mm.
–Estimated aim time is 3.7/3.9s
–Base aim time is 2.1s, but it can get down to 1.71.
-Dispersion is 0.362/0.326
–Gun handling is 0.2/0.2/0.14, or 0.17/0.17/0.12 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -6 degrees over the front, and -10 degrees over the sides
The aim time is very good, but the dispersion is very bad; along with decent handling it makes the gun feel quite inaccurate if the target is at long distance. At mid-close distances though the gun performs well.
Mobility
-Top speed is 40km/h forwards, and -15km/h in reverse
-Traverse speed is 47 deg/s on hard terrain, and 43.1 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 19 hp/t, it has strong 1141hp engine for its 60 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 17.3 hp/t on hard terrain, and 15.8 hp/t on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are 1.1/1.2/1.6
Chrysler has the best acceleration and 2nd best traverse in for a tier 8 heavy, making it the most mobile tank for its armour. Also it weighs 60 tons, so don’t hesitate to ram enemy MT and LT.
The mobility of this tank truly cannot be explained in any way other than “stupid” (in a good way). Its quite insane how quickly this tank can move, and is just ridiculous considering its size and armour profile.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
Chrysler K has no special provisions/consumables.
Gun rammer:
Due to having low DPM and a worse reload than most other 105mm guns, Chrysler needs to use gun rammer to have a competitive reload/DPM. Calibrated shells isn’t needed as the Chrysler has enough penetration on both AP and APCR to easily penetrate most enemies you face.
Gun rammer would improve the reload time from 9.3s to 8.7s, and increase the DPM from 1995 up to 2145.
Improved Modules:
Chrysler is a very fast heavy tank and weighs 60 tons. Use improved modules to reduce the ram damage you take when ramming enemy tanks, which is very easy to do in the Chyrsler due to its mobility.
Improved Assembly:
Chrysler K has a very black & white armour profile, as in, its weakpoints are very weak, and its strong points are very strong; so using enhanced armour won’t help the weakpoints, but also isn’t needed on the strong points. Improved assembly is the better equipment choice due to this.
Improved assembly would take the Chrysler’s good 1850 base HP up to a very healthy 1961 HP.
Vertical Stabilizer:
Due to the Chrysler’s fairly average gun handling, and the fact that its a very mobile frontline brawling tank, it benefits greatly from the vertical stabilizer. The tank is usually quite close to its enemies, hence will often be snapping in shots without using the full aim time, and the tank will be constantly moving and maneuvring to keep its armour and gun facing front. Vertical stabilizer helps to improve the tank’s accuracy when it moves, and helps it to aim in quicker after it stops moving.
Refined gun can work, as the Chrysler has quite mediocre dispersion of 0.362. However, generally its not needed or as helpful as the stabilizer, as it means the gun would need to aim in longer to get to that smaller aim circle size. Especially with the high level of mobility of the Chrysler, the gun would bloom out by a very noticeable amount when not using the stabilizer.
Gameplay advice
Chrysler K has a very unique playstyle, as there really isn’t any other tank like it in game.
It has mobility that’s better than any tier 8 heavium tank, with turret and hull armour that’s as strong as most heavies; yet it can’t use gun depression positions, and is quite hard to use in a front-on brawl as its turret is at the rear.
General gameplay:
Chrysler K is a frontline brawler, it shouldn’t sit back and play cautiously or passively, it needs to use its great mobility to take early and dominant map positions on the frontline.
Chrysler K works best on the heavy tank flank, where its able to use its strong armour in sidescraping positions, and on flat ground. Generally the heavy tank side of the map has positions which are more favourable for the Chrysler K.
If necessary, the Chrysler can also work well on the medium flank, where it would still be played aggressively. It has the mobility and speed to easily keep up with medium tanks, while also having good armour which it can shove in the face of enemies.
Avoid gun depression positions:
Don’t fight on a ridgeline or use gun depression positions. Due to the rear mounted turret, when you go on a ridge, enemies can always shoot your hull before you can see them; and Chrysler only has -6 gun depression on the front.
Even if turning the hull to the side to get more gun depression, enemies can easily penetrate the hull side. The Chrysler is a wide tank, and hence has to turn the hull quite far to get the gun down.
If you need gun depression, driving with the hull turned sideways is the best option, since you can’t get good gun depression over the front. The turret of the Chrysler is right on the tank’s rear, so you will show much less of the hull, and get the full -10 gun depression.
You can also reverse into positions (the tank has -10 over its rear as well), however note that the hull is tall, and if enemies can see it, they’ll definitely be able to penetrate.
Use sidescraping or hulldown positions:
Sidescraping can allow you to easily hide all weakpoints (except the cupola), and be able to shoot the enemy, which is something most tanks struggle to do in a sidescrape. the rear mounted turret and long, flat hull sides make the Chrysler the perfect tank to sidescrape with.
Hulldown positions are essential to the Chrysler, since it can’t really use gun depression positions effectively. The lower plate is the weakest part of the Chrysler’s front, and both the upper plate and turret are very well armoured.
Using cover to hide the lower plate, while remaining on flat ground so you can still use the gun, allows you to utilize the strong frontal armour of the tank without even needinf to angle or sidescrape.
If you do have to use a ridgeline, approach it sideways so you get more gun depression and expose the hull less. As stated above, reversing is also an option, but the hull rear is tall and flat, despite it providing great -10 gun depression.
Utilize mobility:
Use the mobility as an advantage against any enemy. Use it to wiggle the armour and bait shots into the tracks, use it to ram enemies, use it to take early map positions, and definitely take advantage of opportunities to flank and surprise enemies.
The Chrysler is so mobile that it can very easily and quickly change flanks, so sometimes (not always), the best and most surprising play will be to flank around enemies. Having a heavy tank shooting from behind the enemies is just something no player is expecting, and if you can successfully achieve such a maneuver, it should be very beneficial to your score and your team’s chances of winning.
Let the gun aim:
No matter whether you use vertical stabilizer, or you use refined gun, you always have to let this gun aim in.
Chrysler K’s gun will always be unreliable in one aspect of accuracy. Its aim time is good, but then you have to choose between dispersion and gun handling in your equipment choice. The one you don’t choose will cause this gun to be quite derpy if you don’t properly give it time to aim in.
Aim your shots properly, its not worth missing, since you don’t have great DPM or reload and each missed shot just makes it harder to deal with enemies.
Overall you should treat the Chrysler as an in-your-face heavy tank. It uses its great speed and mobility so surprise enemies by getting into positions early and shoving its strong armour to the frontlines. Utilize ramming, angling, sidescraping, and relocate using that mobility, but avoid using gun depression positions frontally.
Tank gameplay:
Overall
Armour – 8/10
Gun – 5/10
Mobility – 10/10
Speed – 8/10
Chrysler K is overall a good tank.
Armour is very strong on both the turret and upper plate. Its side armour is strong and easy to use in a sidescrape. It can’t use gun depression positions easily.
Gun has mediocre DPM, and very mediocre accuracy. Its handling is average, penetration and aim time are good. Frontal gun depression is poor (-6) but side gun depression is great (-10).
Mobility is amazing, very strong engine, great terrain resistances, high acceleration rate, and high traverse speed. Reverse speed is average.
Speed is good for a tier 8 heavy, at 40km/h.
While in concept the Chrysler K looks like an amazing tank, and its combination of amazing mobility, great armour, and a decent gun, seem to be “OP”; its rear turret placement, large size, and awkward gun depression make it just a fairly good tank, but not even close to being OP.
Is it worth getting?
Chrysler is worth getting, but not for all players. If you know how to play rear turreted heavies then you will do really well in the tank, alternatively if you are good at sidescraping your tanks, you should be able to get the hang of this tank pretty easily.
If you don’t know how to play rear turreted or sidescraping heaies, then the Chrysler’s gameplay may be uncomfortable, and you may prefer a more conventional heavy tank over this.
It can be awkward to play due to the turret being on the rear, so while its a good tank, not every player will enjoy it, and this is definitely worth keeping in mind if you were interested in getting a premium tank.
Chrysler is worth 8,500 gold, but usually its sold in stores for cheaper. Its a great tank with interesting stats and gameplay, however its awkward frontal gun depression and rear turret definitely won’t suit everyone.
