Armour

(The Obj.752 in the images is using Enhanced Armour)

vs 240mm AP (left image) & 300mm HEAT (right image)
When flat and facing head-on:

Upper plate 255mm-440mm
Mid/lower plate 150mm
Lower-lower plate 295mm
Turret 300-360mm

vs 240mm AP
-The sides of this tank are a semi V-shape, similar to the T-22’s sides, but this has weakpoints along that V. Use Blitzhangar or Gamemodels3d to check it out, as you can’t see these weaknesses in game.
-This image also shows how you can almost completely hide the hatches by raising the gun.

vs 330mm HEAT

Upper plate 300mm-640mm
Turret 310-370mm

Note that 330mm is tier 10 HEAT penetration. All tier 9 MT & LT, and most tier 9 HT have between 270mm and 320mm of premium penetration. Only 8 heavy tanks have 330-340mm

VS tier 8:
Against tier 8 tanks the mid/lower plate is weak and easily penetrated. The upper plate can be penetrated by tanks with about 260mm of premium penetration, but only when flat. When using gun depression there is no tier 9 HT, MT, or LT that has any good chance of penetrating this tank, especially using enhanced armour.
The best thing they can do is shoot the hatches, which aren’t even very weak against tier 8 tanks, and raising the gun hides them almost completely.

VS tier 9:
Most tier 9 tanks still won’t have enough standard penetration to penetrate the upper plate, and will have to shoot the mid/lower plate.
Again, most tier 9 tanks also do not have enough premium penetration to penetrate the turret. Only 8 heavy tanks (out of all 33 MT, LT, & HT in tier 9) have enough penetration to go through the turret semi-reliably. No tank can really be fully reliable against its turret due to how small it is and the odd angles it has.

VS tier 10:
In tier 10, most heavy tanks can reliably penetrate the 255mm area of the upper plate, however most mediums will still see it red, especially if angled. A lot more tier 10 tanks have 330-340mm of premium penetration, and even some medium and light tanks can achieve this with calibrated shells. Most heavies can penetrate the turret when using gun depression so its best to not over expose the turret for too long.

Gun

Obj.752 mounts a 122mm autoloader

-Alpha damage is 430 with 2 shells in the clip. Intra-clip reload is 4s, so in 4s it can deal 860 damage.
-Reload time is 16.9s, giving it 2465 DPM
-Penetration is 245mm on AP, 340mm on HEAT, and 68mm on HE
Estimated aim time is 4.4/4.9s
Base aim time is 3.58s, but it can get down to 2.92s.
-Dispersion is 0.355/0.319
Gun handling is 0.1/0.1/0.17, or 0.09/0.09/0.15 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -8 degrees, which is very good when coupled with a strong turret and small profile.

Overall the gun is very good in all aspects but accuracy and aim time. Its alpha damage is great, especially considering that its an autoloader; the clip reload is not long and DPM is good; gun depression is impressive, penetration is high, and its dispersion-on-move is extremely good.

In battle, the aim time and dispersion are definitely noticeable, but don’t feel as bad as the stats look, thanks to that great gun handling.

Mobility

-Top speed is good, 38km/h forwards, but a fairly slow -12km/h in reverse
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 14.9 hp/t, it has a decent 632 horsepower engine for its 42 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 13.6 hp/t on hard terrain, and 12.4 hp/t on medium terrain.
-Traverse speed is 33.9 deg/s on hard terrain, and 31.1 deg/s on medium terrain.
Terrain resistances are some of the best for a heavy tank, having 1.1/1.2/1.6

While its acceleration and traverse speed may not look very impressive, these are actually quite good. The Obj.752’s ground resistances are so good that the tank barely slows down when going off-road (unlike many other tier 8-10 heavy tanks). The top speed is also good, but the reverse speed isn’t great.

Equipment, provisions, & consumables

Obj.752 has no special consumables or provisions

Calibrated Shells:
As the Obj.752 is an autoloader, it can use calibrated shells without losing much DPM. The tank doesn’t need to improve its penetration, but its the only tier 9 tank  that can achieve extreme levels of penetration without losing much DPM. It makes it a unique feature of the vehicle, as its penetration would go up to 257mm on AP, 374mm on HEAT, and 75mm on HE. It also increases the already great HE penetration, and 75mm will go through many tanks’ side armour.
Improved ventilation does also work well on this tank, and not using calibrated shells is not at all a wrong choice. The tank’s base 340mm HEAT penetration is already far above average for tier 9.

Enhanced Armour:
Due to having both great nominal thickness on its turret, and great angled thickness on its hull, enhanced armour makes a big difference on the Obj.752. Not taking into account the angling, the turret armour increases by 11.6mm, the hatch thickness increases by 8.4mm and the upper plate armour increases by 7.6mm. When you add in angling for the upper plate and the round hatches it increases the effective armour even more.

While improved assembly can definitely work on this tank, the 752 is a very armour-focused tank, and not so much a HP focused tank. Improved assembly would increase the HP from 2050 to 2173.

Engine Accelerator:
While the Obj.752’s mobility is good due to ground resistances, its base engine power isn’t the most impressive. Traverse speed is already decent, so its better to use engine accelerator. Engine accelerator gives the Obj.752 an additional 37.8 horsepower and 0.9 in its power-to-weight ratio (increasing its hp/t from 14 to 14.9)

Vertical Stabilizer:
Considering the amazing gun handling of the Obj.752 and the poor accuracy, you may think it needs refined gun; however the brawling heavy tank role that the 752 plays, and the fact that its an autoloader, make the vertical stabilizer more beneficial.

In close range fights and brawls (where heavies mostly fight), good accuracy isn’t as useful as good gun handling as you are constantly moving your tank. Autoloaders also benefit hugely from a stabilizer, as the after-shot-dispersion is decreased, a very important statistic for a tank that often has to fire 2 shots in quick succession.

(Also note that this tank has 0.17 dispersion on turret traverse, which is very poor, but doesn’t feel poor due to the other great handling stats. This does also benefit from vertical stabilizer.)

Gameplay advice

Obj.752 is a fairly easy tank to play due to its gun depression, solid armour, and decent gun. Its very similar to what an ST-I would be if it had an autoloading gun. Most players should feel quite comfortable with the tank, but if you don’t know when to reload your magazine, it may be a bit more challenging to play.

General gameplay:
The general gameplay of this tank is quite standard for a heavy tank, as it is essentially just a faster, autoloading ST-1. It plays the standard heavy tank role in battle, going to the HT side of the map, using hulldown positions, brawling with enemy heavies, etc.

The Obj.752 does have good enough mobility to support mediums or get around enemies in battle if its needed.

Use hulldown and gun depression positions:
Hiding the lower plate of this tanks should always be the priority, as everything can penetrate it. Use hulldown positions and utilize the -8 gun depression of this tank.
Using gun depression positions make this tank excel. The Obj.752’s turret is strong, but if you just keep it exposed then there are many tier 10 tanks which can cut through the turret. Poke out, shoot, pull back, poke out, shoot, pull back, then reload the clip.

You can also raise raise the gun up so enemies can’t shoot the hatches, most tier 8-9 tanks have no chance of penetration if the hatches are hidden, and many lower penetration tier 10 tanks will find the same.

When to sidescrape:
Sidescrape only when there is no better option. Due to the side armour not being a true and proper v-shape, if enemies get lucky or know where to aim then they may just penetrate the sidescrape weakspots. Sidescraping is still better than driving out head first and exposing your lower plate to the enemy, but hulldown is still the best way to use the armour.

Don’t chase damage:
When firing the gun, don’t focus only on trying to maximise your DPM by unloading both shells. Sometimes its best to just reload your magazine and wait, rather than trying to needlessly chase down that 2nd shot of damage. If you can safely and quickly shoot the 2nd shot, then take it; but don’t over-invest into the shot only to get shut down by half the enemy team.

Other than using the gun depression and autoloader, the Obj.752 plays just like other generic heavy tanks, and adopting that generic playstyle to this tank (and taking into account its strengths) should make the tank do very well in battle.

Overall

Overall the Obj.752 is an amazing tank, it has very few “bad” stats on it, and of those stats, most are mitigated by extremely good stats in other areas. Its by far one of the strongest tanks in tier 9.
Due to its fairly forgiving armour (especially against same and lower tier tanks), decent mobility, and an autoloader with a quick reload, most players will find this a very good tank, even if they aren’t used to using autoloaders or heavy tanks.

Is it worth getting?

Obj.752 is definitely worth getting. The tank is one-of-a-kind in tier 9, and if its sold in store you should definitely think about buying one. Players who like accurate guns or very fast tanks should probably avoid this tank, as the gun isn’t extremely accurate, nor fast (compared to the fastest of heavies). However, players who enjoy reliable armour profiles, decent speeds, and a high-penetration, high-alpha autoloader should really enjoy the Obj.752.

The Obj.752 is worth 18,500 gold, getting it for cheaper than this is a good deal. As it is a collector tank, players can sell the Obj.752 from their garage for 5,000 gold.
