When flat and facing head-on:
Upper plate front 110-140mm
Mid angled plate 195mm auto-ricochet
Upper middle area 120-160mm
Lower plate 230mm auto-ricochet
Turret 130-230mm
Gun mantlet 175mm
Cupola 70-120mm

vs 150mm AP (top image), 200mm APCR (bottom image)
Using -10 gun depression:
Upper plate front 130-190mm
Mid angled plate 460mm auto-ricochet
Upper middle area 150-185mm
Gun mantlet 175mm
Cupola 75mm
Side armour:
Pawlack Tank has 70mm of side armour, but its not angle-able or sidescrape usable. The Pawlack’s sides have angles which curve inwards towards the front, making them weaker when angled.
The “boxes” above/between the road wheels count as 5mm of spaced armour.
Rear armour:
Pawlack has 30mm of hull rear armour, making it easy for most tanks to HE penetrate, however note that it has a spaced armour box covering the upper area, so shoot below this box at the flat part of the rear plate.
Armour vs tier 5 tanks:
Against tier 5 enemies, the Pawlack has good armour. Both the front part of the upper plate and the mid part below the turret are fairly strong, and will bounce most enemy tanks (with a few high penetration exceptions, Renault G1 R, BDR G1B, or T1 Heavy).
Other armour areas are strong to even most premium ammo, however the front upper plate and the mid area under the turret will be penetrable.
Armour vs tier 6 tanks:
Armour against tier 6 is less impressive, the mid upper area below the turret is weak to all heavy tanks, and is a large armour plate to hit. The front of the upper plate is also weak, but appears less red, and is a smaller armour plate.
The turret is strong, but there are small cheek weakpoints, and the cupola. Against premium ammo, its penetrable on even upper turret cheeks.
When using gun depression, the hull can be fairly reliable against enemy AP, however there are still weakpoints, and premium ammo will penetrate with no issue.
Armour vs tier 7 tanks:
The mid angled armour plate, above the front of the tank and below the middle turret “tower”, along with most of the lower plate, are an auto-ricochet angle to enemies of all tiers.
Other than these 2 areas, tier 7 enemies generally won’t struggle to penetrate the Pawlack. All can penetrate the hull front areas, and many heavy tanks can even penetrate the turret cheeks fairly easily.
Gun
The Pawlack Tank mounts a 90mm gun
-Alpha damage is 240 on AP, 200 on APCR, and 270 on HE
-It has an 8.3s reload, giving it 1727 DPM
-Penetration on AP is 150mm, APCR is 182mm, and HE is 30mm.
–Estimated aim time is 4.0/4.3s
–Base aim time is 2.4s, but it can get down to 1.96s.
-Dispersion is 0.308/0.277
–Gun handling is 0.21/0.21/0.08, or 0.18/0.18/0.07 with Vertical Stabilizer.
-Gun depression is -10 degrees
Overall this is a decent gun, nothing too special. Its alpha damage is a comfortable number for tier 6, though DPM is fairly mediocre. Standard penetration is average, but APCR and HE are both lacking for a tier 6 heavy. Aim time and gun handling are fairly average, but dispersion is extremely good, making this a very accurate gun once it gets aimed in.
Gun depression is deceptive, 10 degrees is good, and the Pawlack is fairly comfortable on a ridge or using hulldown positions. However, note the size and shape of this tank, its very long, large, tall, and has a turret mounted in the center of the hull, not the front. With all of these factored in, the gun depression feels more awkward to use than most tanks which have -10 degrees.
Mobility
-Top speed is 41km/h forwards, and -15km/h in reverse.
-Traverse speed is 37.33 deg/s on hard terrain, and 26.7 deg/s on medium terrain.
-In game acceleration rate is shown as 14.8 hp/t, it has a strong 878 horsepower engine for its 59 ton weight.
-Actual acceleration rate is 14.8 hp/t on hard terrain, and 10.5 hp/t on medium terrain.
–Terrain resistances are 1/1.4/2.2
The mobility of the Pawlack Tank is just average. Overall in gameplay, the tank feels very unimpressive in its mobility, especially for its armour.
It has great top speed, but rarely reaches it. On hard terrain, the mobility is good, the tank accelerates fast and turns fairly quickly. However on medium terrain, the tank’s acceleration is just average, and it turns slowly. The poor traverse speed on medium terrain isn’t helped by the long hull and size of the tank.
Equipment, provisions, & consumables
The Pawlack Tank does not have any special provisions or consumables.
Gun Rammer:
Despite its lower level of penetration on premium ammo and APCR, the Pawlack Tank can get away without using calibrated shells. This equipment piece also just adds a very small amount of penetration, and the tank doesn’t have HEAT ammo, and its HE is just markedly terrible.
Its better to use gun rammer, since the tank’s DPM is already fairly lacking for a tank with under 300 alpha. Gun rammer is essential in brawls with other heavy tanks, since if your armour can’t save you (generally it can’t), then at least you have a gun that can take out the enemy.
Gun rammer would lower the reload time from 9.0s down to 8.3s, and increase the DPM from 1607 to 1727.
Improved Assembly:
Pawlack doesn’t have enough armour for it to be worth enhancing. If you use enhanced armour, it would help to bounce a few more tier 5 tanks, and some low penetration tier 6 mediums. However, the tanks you will face most often are tier 6 heavy tanks, and none of those struggle to penetrate, even if you’re using enhanced armour.
Its better to focus on improving the HP, as the Pawlack has very good HP for a tier 6 heavy, with 1200 base. Improved assembly would increase this to 1272, and let the tank take more hits in battle.
Vertical Stabilizer:
The Pawlack doesn’t benefit from refined gun at all, since it has already amazing gun dispersion of 0.308, and its not a tank which plays the sniper role.
Vertical staibilizer is the much better choice, as the gun handling of the Pawlack is just average, and definitely benefits from being improved. The vertical stabilizer helps the tank to retain accuracy while its moving, and in closer range fights such as brawls, which heavy tanks often fight in.
Gameplay advice
The Pawlack’s gameplay is fairly generic for a tier 6 heavy, however since its hull is so large and weak, and armour not reliable in really any scenario, the Pawlack has to try keep hulldown whenever possible, or just hide the hull.
General gameplay:
Take the Pawlack to the HT side of the map. Despite its weak hull armour against heavy tanks, your DPM and mobility are far too low to be able to play too effectively on the medium flank. The Pawlack does well in a situation where its hulldown, and can trade with another heavy tank with similar alpha/DPM.
The main gameplay points of this tank are to stay on hard terrain during battle, hide the hull, go hulldown, and to not try out-DPM or out-reload enemies. Other tank these points, it can play in the usual HT way, brawling with other heavies on the heavy flank.
Go hulldown/use gun depression:
The Pawlack has weak hull armour against the enemies you face most commonly, which are tier 6 and 7 heavy tanks. To be effective with the armour, you need to hide the hull completely.
Going hulldown can be difficult due to the height and length of the hull, but some positions will be able to support this tank. Going hulldown should hide the hull completely, and in such a situation, enemies would have to shoot the stronger armoured turret. The turret still has weakpoints, but is much more reliable than the hull.
Using gun depression is the best option, since it automatically gives you a position large enough to accommodate the size of the Pawlack’s hull. Using gun depression also decreases the size profile of the turret, and increases the armour.
Hide the hull:
If not having ideal positions to go hulldown or use gun depression, then hide the hull by using hard cover, and only expose the tank when you’re reloaded. Keep between buildings and rocks so enemies can’t have free shots into the tank.
Aim shots well:
Due to low DPM, you don’t really want to miss a shot in the Pawlack Tank. It can make brawls against other tanks much more challenging, since you’re already at an armour disadvantage.
Despite the great accuracy of the tank, you still have to spend time to aim, since its aim time and dispersion aren’t so impressive.
Note the terrain you drive on:
The mobility performance of the Pawlack is night-and-day on hard and medium terrain.
On hard terrain the Pawlack is a tank with quick acceleration for a heavy, and good hull traverse speed. On hard terrain the tank can utilize its great 41km top speed fairly easily.
On medium terrain the Pawlack is a sluggish tank, with average acceleration, but slow traverse speed. Its essentially impossible to use that 41km top speed on medium terrain due to such slow traverse.
Hard terrain are roads, paths, and any paved or concrete area. Try and keep to this terrain type in battle, as it makes a huge difference to the mobility of this tank (and how “good” it can be).
Using HE:
The HE on this tank is so bad that its just not worth using. The majority of tanks you fight won’t even have an armour plate on their tank which is thin enough for you to use HE against.
With only 30mm of penetration (most 90mm guns have 45mm), and only doing 30 more damage than your AP shell, its just not worth trying to use the HE.
Overall the Pawlack tank has generic heavy tank gameplay, however with an emphasis on hiding the hull, and only showing the turret, due to its fairly weak hull area.
Brawl with enemy heavy tanks, use hulldown and take advantage of gun depression positions, and try to trade with your 240 alpha.
Tank gameplay:
Overall
Armour – 4/10
Gun – 5/10
Mobility – 5/10
Speed – 7.5/10
Pawlack Tank is overall an ok tank.
Armour is fairly weak by heavy tank standards, but it does have some bouncy areas and troll angles, with a fairly solid turret. HE protection is good, armour not angle/sidescrape usable.
Gun has amazing accuracy with a nice -10 gun depression. Aim time, gun handling, & standard penetration are average. DPM, premium penetration, & reload time are quite mediocre. HE damage & penetration are both terrible.
Mobility is average, with a strong engine, with good acceleration & traverse speed on hard terrain, but mediocre acceleration and slow traverse on medium terrain. Reverse speed average, and tank size can be awkward.
Speed is great at 41km/h.
This tank is alright, its not great, but its also not useless or bad. Its lack of reliable armour and poor mobility on medium terrain can make it quite a challenge to play if not positioning well, or facing good enemies.
Is it worth getting?
Pawlack Tank is not worth getting, other than a few unique traits, top speed, accuracy, and 240 alpha, this tank offers nothing over a tech tree heavy tank, or another tier 6 premium heavy tank. In fact, it lacks one of the main things you’d expect on a heavy tank, reliable armour.
The Pawlack Tank is worth 3,000 gold. Its just a fairly unimpressive heavy tank, with unimpressive armour, and unimpressive gun, and fairly average mobility overall. It has some nice traits, like top speed and accuracy, but its not the best in the ideal areas for a heavy tank.
